Westbrook was a good pick there last week, now less clear, but a solid RB2 for semi--PPR. I like Fitz very much there. Walker and driver combinge for a STRONG WR2/3. Jamal Lewis is a good RB3 at the end of the 6th. I may have picked another QB there, a Delhomme if yo uwill, but that's fine. McMichael as TE in the 8th is a bit of a reach, but I know how it is drafting out of the corners, you need to grab someone before all the quality starters at a pos. are gone. Bears D at 9 is AWFUL. You were having an A draft until this blunder. There is a lot of parity in D, and it's unpredictable, there is on reason to reach on D. Taylor is a good RB4 and fantastic value in the 10th, your league must have some morans. I do not like Porter as a WR4, you could've had a stallworth/glenn/matt jones here i think. You reached a bit on Vanderjagt (see Bears comments) but the problems aren't so bad at the end of the draft . Your depth in the last picks is average. Overall: B+/A-. Lose the bears you have a strong A-, improve the last few rounds slightly (more of a personal prefference) and you have an A. |

1(12)-Caddy Williams
2(13)-Dom Davis 3(36)-Reggie Bush 4(37)-Reggie Wayne 5(60)-Marc Bulger 6(61)-Duece McAllister 7(84)-Rod Smith 8(85)-Chris Brown 9(108)-Drew Brees 10(109)-D. Stallworth 11(132)-LJ Smith 12(133)-Seahawks 13(156)-John Kasey 14(157)-Michael Pittman The league starts 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR, 2 flex, TE, K, D It is not a PPR league, but does have unusual bonuses for lengthy touchdowns. I plan to start 3 RB's most weeks if possible... The draft took place in late July before the more bad news about the Dom Davis knee...I wish I had Willis McGahee instead at this point obviously. At this time Bush was still holing out and with rumors of him sitting out the whole year I feel like I got a steal with him at 36. Thanks so much in advance... |

[/ QUOTE ] Caddy is nice at 12, but I think it's better to get an elite WR with the second, I think there's a drop after the first 11 or so backs, and McGahee/Westbrook are better options in this second tier (if they were available) So, decent after 2 picks. Bush and Wayne are v. solid at the next juncture, although Wayne is a little weak as a WR1, but you'd expect that with a strong RB2 and RB3 (although as I've said, I think this is a strategic mistake) I don't love Deuce/Bulger here. Both feel like small reaches. I would've wanted to maybe get a stronger WR2 here. Rod Smith is a decent WR2 and you got him in a good spot, Brown I think is a fine RB4 option. Brees is a good example of what late round picks are for, not a sure thing but solid upside. I don't think you got tremendous value here, but it's a fine pick. Stallworth seems about right. ... I'm not as into the Sea D as everyone else, but w/e....LJ is great in the 11th...no big mistakes... B or B- |

Standard Yahoo League, H2H, 10 Teams, standard scoring (-2 for interceptions and fumbles lost, 50 yards passing per point, 20 yards receiving/rushing per point, etc.)
I had the 6 pick, which I did not like at all. I didn't like picking Edgerrin James in that spot either, as it seems he'll probably have far less of a successful season in Arizona, probably should have taken Stephen Jackson, but I did get Ronnie Brown on the way back. 1. (6) Edgerrin James 2. (15) Ronnie Brown 3. (26) Hines Ward 4. (35) Matt Hasselbeck 5. (46) Donald Driver 6. (55) Trent Green 7. (66) Heath Miller 8. (75) Indy DEF 9. (86) Keenan McCardell 10. (95) Shayne Graham (way too early for a kicker, but 5 had gone already) 11. (106) Eddie Kennison 12. (115) Balt. DEF 13. (126) DeShaun Foster 14. (135) Kellen Winslow 15. (146) Mike Bell |

I dont like the reach of Miller at all there, nor the INDY DEF which is a beyond horrible reach. And then you take a 2nd DEF and a kicker before the last round? Yes i know 5 K were gone already. So what? You can grab a Reed, Tynes or Feely later on. Some serious misteps here.
