Andy Bloch calls the $20,000, along with Doyle Brunson, and Robert Williamson III calls and is all-in for his last $20,000, Dewey Tomko is in the big blind and checks. The flop comes down J106, with all players checking. The turn is the 9, again with checks from all players. The river comes the 9. Bloch turns over Q-6 for a pair of sixes and Tomko says "I have trips, no wait, I have a full house", and flips over 9-6. Williamson III is eliminated in 9th place

On the same hand at the other table, Patrik Antonius was in a big pot with Chip Reese, but sees that Williamson III had been eliminatd and folds on the river with a board of 109377. Antonius makes it to tonights final table at 9 p.m. with $13,000.

Why is that ridiculous? Antonius with chips would have been my fav. to win tomorrow.

[/ QUOTE ]

Just because no one even knew who Antonius was 9 months ago.

Could be wrong but I don't think this was more than 9 months ago.

I don't get it. How can he fold for 13k more? According to CP, 12-9 gets the same amount of money.

I thought pretty much all of them were towards the end of last year.

What result are you guys pulling for? I'd like to see Chip beat Phil heads up- Chip deserves some mainstream recognition.

He wants that <60 seconds of ESPN exposure he'll be getting?

From the CP updates it looks like Antonius lost 96% of his stack in the last few hands of Omaha. Ouch.

Because Antonius cares about TV exposure (and can't blame him for that).

Plus he talked in his interviews about how he was looking forward to the switch to NL... even if it's for one round, apparently.

Does the 'reduced' blind structure of the FT come into play? He's got a better chance because the blinds will be less? Not to mention that it'll be NL, as opposed to FL...
