I would play the hand differently. On the turn, I'd minraise. Anyone with a PP or 6 or even unpaired cards hoping to river a boat is calling the minraise. This way, easier to shove on the river (which is your goal). You want to zeebo everyone hard on the river.

i wanted an overcall from UTG on the turn and id rather valuebet that river rather than zeebo this guy with the undercard. if it was all cards higher than a 9 out on the board then id rather zeebo it and get called by the full.

i didnt think id be getting enough value in this spot to zeebo here in this specific spot vs this guy.

No... I'm not set mining or anything.. it's just nice when you hit one every now and then, and when your losing when a favorite, the lack of sets can weigh on the mind.

I'm just frustrated. It's been a hard month.. second month playing full-time, and I've made a whopping $4/hour, whereas for May I was running at close to $15. It doesn't really matter, since I only have 2 more months, and then I start an accounting job, but I've worked pretty hard at this, and to see really marginal success is frustrating/humbling/all that other stuff. (Mind you, there are a lot of people for whom 36k hands in a month w/o losing money would be great success, but that's not the point).
I guess I just want a really good, +6BI session 2 $50 like I was having awhile ago.

General dumb question, say you're in the BB with some junk, 2 limpers, sb completes, you check. You make, say 2nd par on a dry board, it's checked around. Turn bricks - are you leading out? I check down the best hand pretty often when I have junk in the BB.
