[ QUOTE ]

If a guy shoots a better FG%, thats probably because hes a better shooter.

[/ QUOTE ]

Wow, you seriously cannot connect dots together. I seriously hope you're in high school or something.

Two high volume scorers...

Two high volume shooters...

Both allegedly selfish...

Both allegedly with a poor supporting cast...

Both more than capable scorers...

If they are being SELFISH and jacking up shots they SHOULDN'T be, it will show in their field goal percentage...

[ QUOTE ]
If a guy has less TOs, thats probably because hes a better ball handler and/or less of a risk taker with the ball.

[/ QUOTE ]

Apply above to this. You are slow.

[ QUOTE ]
Neither of those have anything to do with selfishness.

[/ QUOTE ]

Oh, so that's why people's FG% and TO rise/fall with their role on a team. Bigger role = more responsibility = almost by default more selfish. The great players adapt and learn. The poor ones stay terribly inefficient.

[ QUOTE ]
And I have no clue how someone's FGAs can be "superior" to someone elses or what you even mean by that.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah dude, you are seriously slow. It's sad, too, because you actually think you can hold a cogent argument.

Victor,

Yes LBJ is more of a passer than Kobe. I'd equate LBJ to Magic and Kobe to MJ in that regard. However, your contentions that Kobe's teamates hate him are completely unfounded. I've only heard of one teamate that ever fueded with him, and that was Shaq. I've read a lot about that scenario, and I blame Shaq for not staying in shape more than I blame Kobe's "selfishness."

I agree with you about the hate on Lebron's mates being unwarranted, but lets face it: When you're on a big stage(conference finals) you're going to start to be critisized more. Your statements about Kobe not "letting them grow" is just silly. Lamar Odom shot by far his highest FG% in 2005-06- with Kobe on his team. Andrew Bynum has shown steady improvement over the year. Kwame Brown looked like a complete bust in Washington and has shown some very minor flashes in LA. Smush Parker was a career benchwarmer before coming to LA.

Hahahaha.

Let's edit what he said then -- there is zero proof that his teammates like him. Or even remotely like him. Like Chucky Atkins. As Lamar Odom said in SI a couple of years ago [paraphrased obv], "When Kobe's on the floor, we just kind of stand back and let him do his thing."

Do you even watch the games? Kobe went one on three against San Antonio in the 4th quarter of a ~8 point game earlier this season. He makes a habit of it. He may pass the first three quarters, but he shoots horrendously bad shots and refuses to pass it in the 4th, which is why he is horrendous in it.

[ QUOTE ]

Mainly because he shot a huge career high in 3s... Which Kobe had no impact on.

Obviously 19-year-old big men won't improve.

You obviously do not watch the Lakers. Kwame was better in Washington and had a very legitimate January-on streak before he came to LA where he looked quite legit. In LA he has shown zero flashes of anything. lol @ giving Kobe credit for Smush Parker. Management, Phil Jackson, and the triangle offense gets all that.

Vyse, your theory is ridiculously full of holes. Moreover, I don't understand why you're insulting me on a personal level. I really have no desire to continue the conversation with someone who does that, so I'll just ignore you for the rest of the discussion.

Also I think James' winning layup with 3 seconds left may wind up as the signature shot in his highlight reel--sort of like Jordan's misdirection layup against the Lakers in his first finals. The announcers (and you guys) are so busy harping on the poor defense, which was pretty bad. But the body control James showed on that shot, the vision to squeak through such a miniscule gap between 3 pistons, and the fact that he lost the ball halfway up, recovered, and still make a pretty tough layup--all just amazing. I watched that thing about 20 times on Tivo.

suzzer,

Yeah I've hated for a bit, but the truth is I'm going to rewatch the 4th-OOT when I get home from work. Agreed on that signature layup.. it was sick and very, very impressive. I was more complaining about stuff like Maxiell defending him at the top of the key (wtf?), and no one from DET realizing, "[censored], he's going to blow right past Maxiell, better get ready to step in the lane."

Yeah I agree Detroit's defense could have been better throughout the end of the game. But that wasn't a gimme layup by any means. It was an astounding athletic play, ESPECIALLY under the circumstances. Which my point is that's probably all people will remember a few years from now, not the lack of D.

I think Detroit's biggest gaffe is failing to realize that the last thing James wanted to do with the game on the line and a few seconds left was take a 12 foot jumper. He was shooting threes with minutes left. But every time he got the ball late-late he went straight to the basket.

I've watched nearly every televised game this year. Please don't bother responding to me.
