yeah, Tek looks awful when you watch him play. But then when you compare numbers among catchers and he's right atop that 2nd tier behind the studs (McCann, VMart, Posada, Mauer) offensively.

Factor in all those intangibles that they talk about with Tek all the time, and he's easily a top 5 catcher overall. I guess.

In addition to the young studs you have to take Posada, and maybe Johjima too, over Tek. He is not a top 5 catcher.
