What's our plan? Do we even have a plan? Or are we just moving pieces?
We should castle ASAP. Bc5 helps us accomplish that. Our pawn on d5 is nothing more than a target for him, since his knight has it blocked. We want to remove the knight from d4. Bc5 also forces him to protect d4 (probably Be3). We then follow with 0-0, and then battle over the d4 and d5 squares. Trading light-square bishops is ok for us, because it's one less piece attacking d5, and our bishop won't help us attack d4. |

[/ QUOTE ] Yes, after Bc5 we can castle or play Qb6 with added pressure on d4 and defense of b4, with a later Rc8 and linking of rooks. At some point we will want to liquidate the light bishops and possibly take his Nd4, and continue to defend/advance our d-pawn. A lot depends on Curtains moves. Naj |

A lot depends on Curtains moves. Naj [/ QUOTE ] I think we are looking at two main moves 10. Nd4 Be4 11. 0-0 Bc5 12. Bd2 or 12. Nc3 Bd2 will allow us to play Qb6, however Nc3 may force us to exchange and play Bxg2. It's not fatal yet but he's got a slight edge... |
