I missed the whole draft so my team is horrible. For those not in the league or even those in it that want to help the worst team, what if anything can be done to save this team?

You're welcome hanster.

I expect to have the worst team in the league. My starting running backs are Reggie Bush and Marshawn Lynch. Yeah, I have Peyton, but still.

I also blew it by picking Leinart in round 9. It wasn't that bad since my other options that I was considering were around for the next pick.

I like deep rosters. It forces you to take chances on unproven rookies and really makes you do your homework on a lot of these players. Plus, it gives you a ton of options when doing matchups for each week. On top of that, the more players on a team, the more possible opportunities for trading. I hope this is a very active league.

Btw, my entire team is up for trade. Some players are harder to get than others (some near impossible), but I can always be bought. No player is untradeable.

Team Ramrod
1. (11) Peyton Manning QB
2. (14) Reggie Bush RB
3. (35) Roy Williams WR
4. (38) Marshawn Lynch RB
5. (59) Laveranues Coles WR
6. (62) Tony Gonzalez TE
7. (83) Donte' Stallworth WR
8. (86) Chicago DEF
9. (107) Matt Leinart QB
10. (110) Michael Turner RB
11. (131) Drew Bennett WR
12. (134) Vernand Morency RB
13. (155) Adrian Peterson RB
14. (158) Reggie Williams WR
15. (179) Ted Ginn Jr. WR
16. (182) Minnesota DEF
17. (203) Stephen Gostkowski K
18. (206) Josh Scobee K

I have the #10 pick (outta 12) in a snake draft. As of right now I am facing the prospects of choosing from Bush and Maroney/Rudi. Who we like?

[/ QUOTE ] Bush and Maroney

[ QUOTE ]
This year though, there seems to be a distinct 3rd tier. This includes Jacobs, Lynch, Peterson, D. Williams, Caddie, Norwood, and Jones (though an argument can be made for him to be in the 2nd tier). Please help me rank these backs.

[/ QUOTE ] When ranking this list I rely very heavily on who has a tough schedule. I think Lynch is going to be good, but the Bills play an extremly difficult schedule against the run this year, while Carolina and Tampa Bay play a very easy schedule against the run.

I would make it Jones, Jacobs, Caddie, D Williams,Lynch, J Norwood,Peterson (I'm assuming you mean from Min)

[ QUOTE ]
Also are any of the above backs better value in the 3rd round (pick #34) over say the #8-9 WR here? I guess thats Driver, Walker, Evans, Housh, Colston, and Boldin? Do any of these guys stand out above the rest?

[/ QUOTE ] I would say it goes Boldin, Colston, Housh, Walker, Driver, Evans. I'm not 100% sold on Evans in this group he was too hit and miss last year for me.

I think all of those RB but Jones and Jacobs will be around for sure when you pick in the fourth (and even some in the fifth) if it is this weekend they may both be.

[ QUOTE ]
1 Bush (10), Benson (15), Lynch (34), Boldin (39), Coles/Ward/Jackson (58)
4 Rudi (10), J-Drew (15), Noorwood (34), Colston (39), '' (58)
2 Bush (10), Portis (15), Driver (34), Boldin (39), F. Taylor (58)
3 Maroney (10), Edge (15), D. Williams (34), Colston (39), Coles....(58)

With the last pick (12th overall) obviously I had the best team.

Then with the steal of the draft I took Preist Holmes in the 12th round and finished the draft with the Washington Redskins defense in the 37th round(yahoo rankings had them dead last)

I will dominate this fantasy year...

BTW, SuperUberBob thanks for setting up the league

I don't think my team is bad. Hate that I didn't go RB, RB in the first two. But I was in 10 player mode and after Bush was taken didn't think the remaining guys (MJD, Benson, Jones) were worth a high 2nd. Don't think Smith was bad though. Comments welcome (don't trash the Gonzalez picked, I declared I was making the reach of the draft several picks before I took him )

1. (10) Westbrook
2. (15) Steve Smith
3. (34) Brandon Jacobs
4. (39) Lee Evans
- passed on Moss here
5. (58) Chester Taylor
- not really thrilled with him since I'm also not completely sold on Jacobs as a #2, but he's a good flex I guess. Missed out on Coles, DJax, and Calvin Johnson here
6. (63) Deion Branch
-not thrilled with him as #3, thought one of the previous 3 would fall to me here
7. (82) Brandon Jackson
-wanted Kitna but he was gonzo at 76
8. (87) Philip Rivers
-who spells their name with one L?
9. (106) Mushin Muhammad
-bleh
10. (111) Anthony Gonzalez
-there's my reach
11. (130) Dallas Clark
12. (135) Jay Cutler
-wanted someone competetent to platoon with Rivers
13. (154) Brandon Marshall
14. (159) Philly D
-messed up on my cheat sheet and thought it was 15th round
15. (178) Tony Hunt
PSU pick and things were getting slim
16. (183) Devin Hester
17. (202) Ashlie Lelie
18. Joe Nedney
-because superuberbob was a [censored] and took Scobee

Mine wasn't too bad considering I couldn't make it, was thrilled that Gore dropped to six. My wideouts suck and the autodrafting botched badly halfway through meaning I have Heap AND Shockey and took D/K too early

man i hate these massive threads.

seems like we should have seperate "official" threads for the different aspects of FFB.

Official 2007 FFB Drafting Thread
Official 2007 FFB Startem/Sitem Thread
Official 2007 FFB Random Discussion Thread
Official 2007 FFB Trade Thread

thoughts??
