you degens, poor pokerstars.

Actually, given that you'd be passing up double FPP/VPP I'm not sure if it's worth it - 12 tabling $100NL is worth about $15/hr normally in FPP. At double that, an 8 hour day would be $240 plus whatever your normal hourly winrate is. Even if it's just a couple hundred dollars that's gotta be better than the expectation from hitting one of the key hands.

Maybe if you're a micro player and you have the bankroll to sit at a mid or high stakes table and with a bunch of other folders it might be worth it since you're not giving up nearly as much in FPP value and win rate.

I dunno. I expect there'll be a bunch of threads in The Zoo about this like last time...

id suggest playing 200nl, the bump in stakes is quite a bit more bonus, and also if you are a supernova(me) they give you a bonus on a bonus. Im just gonna play more so that i can get enough points so that i can have buy a 1500 bonus and a milestone bonus in the same month.

Yeh, wierd hand - I'm ahead but I'm basically drawing dead.

With all the action I was really afraid of set over set.

Once again we see the difference between running good and running bad can be razor thin...

Yeah, I think we figured $200NL was about a 20% bump in FPP/hr over $100NL. So with double points that's gonna be pretty sweet. But I'm happy just to be back at $100NL and not getting doomswitched.

Yet.

yeah, i meant that the milestone hand bonuses are magnified the higher stakes you play, 200nl give you midstakes status. And if you are a nova theyll add to any bonus hit. pretty sweet deal. I got like 250 bucks last time they did this, i think i was playing micro stakes back then.

Okay, I'm thinking of moving over to PokerStars via a pre-paid Visa card thing. I figured this would be as good a time as any with the 10Billion promo going. I know there's no 'real' rakeback with PokerStars, but what kind of other compensations are there through bonuses? I always hear things like "well, with ____ status, I basically get __% rakeback" - how does all this work? Is it just buying bonuses with FPPs and VPPs (still not entirely sure how all these work/what the difference is) I've looked around at the PS site, but I was just wondering if anyone could throw in some tips for someone playing real money on there for the first time.

Yeh, I don't think it made a difference last time what stakes you were playing.

I dunno, I'll think about moving up as the milestones approach but I don't really blow up my bankroll/psyche over it. Particularly since I'm still not sure how I'm going to be getting money on and off Stars and I could wind up really screwing myself if I hit a big downswing at $200NL and then couldn't realod for several days.
