They showed some promise this season, and there is no reason to think they won't be better next year. They did play like dog [censored] in this series, but they are a young team that hopefully learned that you have to go full speed all the time in the playoffs.

[censored] we had it

2 more inches and bosh dunks or at worst is shooting free throws for the win

at least we showed up on the road

IMO Jose & TJ should've both been on the floor on the last play, with TJ setting that lob ... not that I'm a "TJ fan" but he is a way bigger threat to drive ... there would've been more room for error on the pass

Oh well.

Who wants to split season tix next year?????

And seriously I'm gonna smash my LCD watching the post game on Raps TV

Norma Wick and Paul Johnson can [censored] off. total douchebag home team commentators, know f all about ball and are useless ... Norma compared Mo Pete to Robert Horry the other day ... wtf >!>!>!

ya im drunk

I never really watched Jason Kidd play that much this year and I thought he was getting washed up. Wow was I wrong he's incredible. He was by far the best player in this series.

That game was exhausting to watch, the highest of highs and lows.. Going a few plays back, when Tor was up 1 with the ball coming out of a timeout I didn't like the Bosh 20 foot jump shot..

I can't complain about this game though, the effort was there, the last play it looked like Bosh was open if Calderon lobbed it up a bit higher.. The future looks bright.. this will take a bit to get over, but I already can't wait until next season.

Do you guys think that was Sam's last game? This should be a very interesting off-season with Mo's free agency and Sam's contract expiration.. along with Colangelo and Maurizio mixing it up in the euro leagues.. + the draft and any other moves we can make.

Vince misses at the buzzer in '01, Childs loses track of the score in a play that can only be categorized as "WTF" in '02 (though we weren't expected to win that series), and a heartbreaker in '07 with a TO on the final possession.

jkidd averaged a triple double. last player to do that in the playoffs was... jason kidd =)

i really want the nets to run the gamut over the cavs, cavs = overrated 2nd seed who got a firstround bye, nets = underated 6th seed who had the most exciting EAST first round series. (not saying much there)

True dat. Who's available to replace him, though? I've always liked Paul Silas but I don't know what he's up to now...

Charlotte has shown some interest in Silas.. they're still interviewing.. If Sam gets fired there's Indiana and Charlotte that may be interested in him.

I think Colangelo's guy is Marc Iavaroni, who is currently an assistant for the Suns.

David Alridge reported that P.J. Carlesimo could be a frontrunner for the job. Other candidates - I assume - include Iavaroni, Ettore Messina (coach for CSKA Moscow), or Carlisle.

If I were to take a pick it would be Messina, just because he seems like a basketball genius from what I have heard from him (a defensive minded coach - something we really need to work - who has excelled at every level).

With Carlesimo there would obviously be distractions by the media over the Sprewell incident. I know it happened a long time ago but he will never shake that off.

Unfortunately on Raptors TV Colangelo said that they will bring back Smitch next year, but you never know with BC. I would be a very happy man if Mitchell isn't retained.
