[ QUOTE ]
Your teasers seem to defy convention...I got burned teasing the Raiders to +21 (10pt)vs the Chargers, then did it the other way with the Bengals(-3,10pt) vs the Browns and the push lost it for me! I also wonder about the Colts, Cowboys, Seahawks and Bengals for this week...these look like good situations, is it a bad idea to tease to a negative number? [/ QUOTE ] I don't know much about 10pt teasers nor whether there's much value teasing a +11 to +21. But I can tell you the decision to tease to -3 on Cin is HORRIBLE, doubly so since ties loose. The goal of teasers is to use the points to make your side MUCH more likely to win. In the Cinci case you absolutely have to pick up the 3 by teasing them to -2.5. I don't whether it's a good bet at -2.5 (depends on your odds # of teams etc) but I can guarantee it was a bad bet at -3. |

Weekly Total: +15.67 units among 41.33 units transacted. Season Total: -24.40 units among 331.40 units transacted. [/ QUOTE ] Congrats on the solid weekend, Sygamel. Another week like that and you'll end the year much better than you were anticipating. Good stuff. |

I haven't strayed from my strategy nor changed my wagering scheme to try to win it all back. I'm too disciplined for that (a flaw maybe?) |

I don't know anything about 10pt Teasers either, other that that I never see SYGamel bet any...I was sort of expecting to be told that they are for suckers or something! |

[/ QUOTE ] I've been betting at Sportsbook and it actually states that a tie makes a three team teaser a two team teaser, but states elsewhere, aka "clearly" (according to support) that 7 and 10pt teasers lose on a tie. I am betting such small amoounts as a newbie that I don't sweat the mistakes, but I try not to repeat them! |

I predict some teasers involving Houston will soon be announced. [/ QUOTE ] Oh you are so right DeucesUp, I totally dropped the ball on this one. I had all my teaser plays weighted and configured correctly because I figured no other games would became plays....little to do I see now but Houston has climbed to +1.5, becoming a teaser play at +7.5. F***. I have nothing left with which to match it. Thanks for pointing this out, hopefully I can resolve this soon. |

After carefully weighting and matching my weekly teasers, DeucesUp pointed out that Houston might eventually become a teased play. In formulating my teasers, I thought I had found all games that were potential teaser plays this week but overlooked Houston, foolishly not anticipating it could move to +1.5 and become a play. As a result, here are my add-on plays to this week...the matched teams to Houston are unconventional, and the wager amounts a little unclean, but here they are nonetheless:
Houston +7.5/Washington +3.5 +100 $37.50 to win $37.50 Houston +7.5/New England +1 +100 $50.00 to win $50.00 I have still have an extra $15 left over for matching Houston +7.5 to other teams but there are no other decent plays with which to do so. |

New England Patriots -4.5 -102
$153.00 to win $150.00 12/16/05 Note: -108 is the highest number to play for a 3 unit bet at -4.5. -124 is the highest number to play for a 2 unit bet. |
