I know an experienced player who writes his notation in all caps. If he ever gets a position where, for example, both a b2 pawn and a bishop can capture something on c3, he will be confused too.

I anticipate Be3. The other alternative is probably Rd1. a3 leads to
12. a3 Nc6
13. Nxc6 bxc6 and our central pawn is deisolated, or
13. Nb5 a6
14. Nb5-c3 O-O and he's let us chase his knight around while we've developed, we've castled, and we've managed to acquire a lot more space for our pieces than white has.

I like:
11. O-O Bc5
12. Be3 O-O
as it gets us castled before things get too hairy in the center. I'd rather not move Nc6 until he forces the issue with a3.

11. O-O Bc5
12. Be3 Nc6
13. Qb5 forces us to either retreat the bishop or trade it off, and several people have already suggested that the dark square bishop is going to be important in this formation. If we castle first, Qb5 doesn't pin the knight and is no longer a viable move; instead he'll play Qa4 or Rd1 or something.

At any rate, I nominate Bc5 as a move, bolded so chuckles can find it.

Some alternatives for voting: 11...Bxg2, 11...Qb6

But I expect another blowout. Note that playing 11...Bc5 first is much better than 11...Bxg2 12.Kxg2 Bc5, which is something I overlooked in an earlier post.

Sorry. 1983 Daewoo keyboard that's unfortunately on its last days. Mixture of on-screen keyboard and home-row lately. Sigh.
