Thank you for contacting us.

With regards to your email, whilst coming up with promotion we try to get something that all our
players will enjoy but this is not always possible.

I'm sorry to hear that you do not like this promotion but we do still have regular tables that can
be played on by our players who do not want to play the monster promotion.

Kind regards

Diane

I think the Paradise Free-Million freeroll caught some of the other sites' attention. They all seem to be doing something semi-similar to that in efforts to convert their play-money players over to real-money.

That's the impetus behind the Stars 2.5-million thingee I believe.

How Stars got the idea of having all those VIP freerolls I'm not exactly sure.

But it seems like the sites just like to put together whatever scheme they can to say that they "gave" away $2.5-million for "free" (or $5-mil+ for "free" as Party ill claim).

Of course, on Stars it really is much closer to a 'free' give-away than on Party which is just a "took a little from each pot that YOU PLAYER paid and then switched it all over to a gigantic tournament structure."

Also - Party's form responses to this and refusal to acknowledge the obvious are pretty amazing.
Absolutely zero acknowledgement that many players are bothered by this for very legitimate reasons.
Instead, they offer inaccurate and/or condescending replies and seem happy just to say, "sorry, we can't please everyone. you really shouldn't be upset about this. How can you not see how much better this all is for you?!?!"

[/ QUOTE ]

Unless I misread something the Party freerolls(weekly, monthly and monthly offline) tournament are "free"..I did not read anywhere that these freeroll will be funded by the "drop" or additional rake nor will they reduce the monster prize pool...Nor did I read anywhere that they claim the Monster Grand Final to be a freeroll even though they did seed it with 5 million..To further there claim to "free" Party suspended the 10% administration fee they where collecting on the BBJ tables..

Regardless I feel this is a terrible promo for ring game players..It is "converting" a ton of the money in the ring games to BBJ payouts and to MTT lotteries...Ring games are the one thing that Party had far and above all the other sites...

In other news, the BBJ is going to go up about $200k a day. Lets see it hit $3 million.

I remember once last year when the BBJ got so high that the Zoo calculated that it was +EV to play.

1.) Does anyone know how the BBJ applies to this promotion? Is it paid out when it hits in $$ like a normal BBJ - or is it paid out in [censored] tourny entries?

2.) If it is paid out in $$, how big does the JP have to be to be +ev with the MONSTER rake?

The rake at B&M cardrooms with way worse then what party has now, and people still make a killing because the players are so bad. At a certain point, more fish over come the rake increase.

[/ QUOTE ]

In a B&M room you rarely see limits below 3/6, and you rarely see winning players at limits below 4/8 (and more realisticaly 6/12). A typical B&M game at these limits is way looser than a typical online game so it can support a jackpot drop.
