I wondered about these calculations myself.

I'm guessing they don't know how the calcs are being done.

Or it's possible that they were SUPPOSED to be doing it the contributed way but they accidentally put it in the 'dealt-hand' way.

Maybe they were briefly trying to fix this yesterday (when everybody's rake-meter was down) and then just said, "screw it. we'll do it this way for now and fix it later."

rake/n seems to work for me too, with a small sample size. I would think if you win a $22.25 pot and pay $2.25 in rake, your rake meter should go up by $2.25. Guess that's not the case, 10 contributing players each get 0.225 (or 0.22, didnt do enough calc to see where the rounding goes.)

I asked support, and they didn't seem to know what method they were using to calculate rake. However, I went through my hand histories, and figured out that they are giving you back rake exactly like MGR, not how much rake was taken from pots you won.

The amount in rake listed under their cashier to be given back to me is exactly the same as if you divide the rake taken from a pot to all players who participated in the hand evenly. So, you can fold all your hands, and you are still getting rakeback.

They might change the system, but this is how it worked for my play on April 3.

Of course, evenly distributing the rake is much better than figuring it out based on who really contributed the most, for winning players. I'd prefer they use the rake/n method. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

The site is great playing no fold'em 3/6 and I am up 6bb in my first 100 hands. I am guessing some players must think they need to be in the hand to collect the rake ;-).

or apparently they are going to be rakefree for a year and the revaluate the situation (read, start charging) according to mailconversation with their support...
