Aces, I don't know what Challenger is saying, because I put him on ignore earlier today. I urge you to do the same. He doesn't bring anything to the table. All he does is quote other people and ride their coattails like a little b*tch.
At least people like UCF and KyleB try to bring their own thoughts to the table when they argue. People like that won't ever go on ignore from me. But Challenger is useless. |

Wow, a fourth place team? Shucks, if only our record was two games better, then we'd be a second place team and the great challenger84 might actually think we have a chance! The smart Cardinals fans admit that it's pretty likely the Stros and the Cards will both be right there at the end. Only people who live in a dream world like you are guaranteeing the Astros make the playoffs. [/ QUOTE ] FYP |

[/ QUOTE ] lol.... name one Cardinals fan on here who thinks the Astros will be anywhere close to the division lead when the season ends. If you want to delude yourself into thinking you have a shot at the WC, go for it, but you'll be 10 games back at least at seasons end. |

[/ QUOTE ] FYP [/ QUOTE ] Schwartz, I know that post wasn't intended for me, but as an Astros fan, I do THINK that they have a shot at the wild card. Anything is possible with the starters that the Astros have. We've seen that the last 2 years. The difference between Aces and I is that I know that if they make the playoffs, they won't do anything. They will get steamrolled by the Mets in the NLCS anyway (if they get that far). So in summary, I hope they make the playoffs. I think they still have a shot. But if they do, they will get beaten like a bunch of little-leaguers, and it will just be an embarassment to the franchise. Even last year in the W.S. I was not embarassed by their performance. They lost 4 games by 6 runs total, and to what everyone is now seeing more and more everyday, was a VERY GOOD White Sox team. This year, with a sickly Jason Lane, Morgan Ensberg, Preston (doubleplay + strikeout) Wilson, and Lidge, it would be an embarassment to the NL, the MLB, and the franchise if they play in October. I think they need to get rid of Gaetti as hitting coach. I've never seen so many competent MLB hitters look like little-leaguers as I have on this team, this year. Something has to change. Their approach at the plate is HORRIBLE. |
