Scotty's chip count please?

[/ QUOTE ]

Scotty has $4,150,000. That's an M of 17.29. He's 15th of 18.

I don't think it's a coincidence that we haven't heard too many hands where Scotty is overbetting pre-flop. I'm sure he's seeing all this and dying to pick up a AA-QQ.

One double up puts him in great shape and within quick striking distance of the chipleader.

[/ QUOTE ]

earlier today they were talking about how Scotty had gone all in 3 or 4 times without callers, Im sure he didnt have KK or AA all those times.

I think the criticisms here are ridiculous; if any of you bust out of a tourney on a questionable play, theres always a reason and an excuse. You have no idea what their rationale is for making these plays. Its ironic that most of the people posting here on this board think they are better than most of the people still playing in the ME.

He won the big pot with J10, and in BJ's right up of another hand, he aparently won a big hand.

Lee Watkinson Takes Over the Chiplead
Lee Watkinson bet 400,000 and Will Spadea raised to 800,000. Watkinson moved all in for 6.5 million and Spadea quickly called.

Watkinson:
Spadea:

The flop was . The turn was the . Watkinson was on the brink of elimination and down to six outs. The river was the and Watksinson hit one of his outs. He doubled through Spadea and took over the lead. Watkinson increased his stack to over 14 million.

[/ QUOTE ]

EDIT: My bad here. Lee hit a king on the river for AK to beat his opponent's 99.

Lee making a seemingly donkish play there. Though not as donkish as the min re-raise.

ok, these guys beat me to it. was just going to say that it's really just incomplete to say "all-in pre-flop with TT for 50BB".

here was the action:

Scott Freeman raised 325,000 from the small blind. John Armbrust raised to 1,000,000. Freeman shoved all in for 5,000,000. Armbrust called.

this could easily be a steal / re-steal situation, Freeman sees a lot of chips in the pot, and knows that he'll only get called by a very small range of hands, and he is in big trouble against even less hands. the play here really isn't that bad.

it's much more complicated than "all-in pre flop w/ TT for 50bb"

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm a PLO cash player and only play NLHE in online tourneys, so I don't usually get a chance to put 50BB in pre-flop. So, a question to the NLHE regulars who play 50BB+ regularly ... Is the AKo call, putting in about 40BB to win 100BB or 1.5 to 1, standard?

Test run: it's neutral cEV vs AA-TT,AK.

Not sure about the effect of the escalating prize pool on $EV though.
