I think this mock draft is a joke... no way does 3 out of the top 6 picks trade down. [/ QUOTE ] That's a shame too because there are very few guys worth top money this year, but they've kinda lucked out. |

The PFT draft is pretty horrid. As mentioned by others, pretty hard to take a mock with so many trades seriously. They also really missed the boat with team needs and preferences on many of the picks.
Bob's 3 rounder from a few days ago is not bad, I agree with it much more than some of his previous efforts. My only major disagrement is the Eagles first round. They almost never draft guys with charecter issues. I don't see them using their 1st on a punk like Merriweather. And as he mentioned, Jarrett was accidently omitted. |

Is Merriweather a huge punk? Or just a standard Miami punk? I don't watch much CFB, but I was impressed with him from what I saw. And the more I think about it, I would really like to see the Eagles draft a safety in the first round, even if it means trading up some.

Merriweather used a gun in self-defense of his friend or something like that. Big whoopie. He legally purchased it and a carry permit for the gun.
I did skip on Jarrett. I have him going early second round to the Vikings. I looked at Kiper's mock and it just looks absurd. I have to wonder what he's thinking with some of these moves. Jamal Anderson does not drop to pick 21 and Charles Johnson does not drop to the fourth round. He has QBs being picked way too early in the draft as a whole and he has teams picking QBs that don't need them. Not that it matters. Kiper writes up about a half dozen mock drafts with each them taking a variety of picks. He can pick out that one mock that got that pick right and make himself look like a genius. As for the PFT draft: no thanks. I never include trades because they're basically impossible to predict given the information we have as spectators. The only sure trade that will occur is between the Lions and Bucs if Calvin Johnson is not picked #1 overall. The Bucs would kill to get CJ and the Lions could easily get their man, Gaines Adams at #4 while he is a reach at #2. Personally, I don't think they should get Gaines at all, but the Lions are the Lions and they simply don't draft well. |

Merriweather is a punk even for Miami standards. He was the one who stomped on somebody's face during the Mia/Fla Intl Brawl.
Their was another incident were him and his roomate went chasing after a suspicisous car. Somebody in the car shot Merriweather's roomate, so Merriweather returned fire. |

As mentioned Meriweather was the guy stomping around like lord of the dance during the Fla Internt'l fight. He was the biggest punk of the fight aside from the guy who swung his helmet at someone, really can't see the Eagles spending a high pick on a guy like that
