[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Bob, Do you know how rake is returned to players? IE, contributed vs average? I asked live chat, and couldnt get a precise answer. [/ QUOTE ] As far as I can tell you get the rake back only on hands you win. The counter was fast the other day so I kept checking it. It only went up when I won a hand. Hands I contributed to but lost didn't seem to count. Also, it looks like tourney fees are returned but they don't update until midnight. Not 100% sure about that but it seems like I got some extra money in there after playing 2 tourneys. Haven't played any Sng's. [/ QUOTE ] I've been going back and forth with support over this via email and I think I've finally pieced it together (it looks like they hire their support from Party's reject list). Rakeback per hand = (A/B)*C A = my contribution to the pot B = total pot + rake C = rake Hopefully, B is capped at the level where the rake is capped (if the rake is capped at $1, B should be capped at $20 -- if the rake is capped at $3, B should be capped at $60). This seems fair as long as their programmers get it right. |

Looks like they fixed the rake/cashier error.

Bob -
RE: Account/Session/In Play If they have a shared wallet with the sportsbook, and they are also on a network with other poker sites (i'm pretty sure I read that on these boards), it makes sense for them to put the money in three states like that. It's probably the case that you can buy in at a poker table with account or session money, but that once you move it to session you can't book sports bets with it. If you log out and log in and it's all in account, i'm pretty sure that's what's going on. that's my guess at least. |

Is there any deposit bonus? Should I worry about entering a bonus code when signing up?
-Thanks AA |

For how long will it be rake free?
Will they drop down to 75% rakeback or 50%? How popular will WPEX become in the next weeks? Will this put enough pressure on the big Pokersites to reduce their rake? Will it fail, because they can't 'afford' rakefree poker? Will it fail, because there won't be enough players and so people will stop playing there. So many questions, so little time. Rake free poker could fail because it is not in the interests of many influential people in the poker community.

[/ QUOTE ] Since I wasn't getting any clear answers from support, I decided to play an orbit, analyze the hand histories and find out exactly how they calculate rake back. Turns out it is simply Rake divided by Number of Players Dealt Into Hand. You don't have to contribute, as I was told by support. |

If your calculations are correct Bigbluffer, then it is not 100% rakeback. The contributed method would be 100% rakeback.

But Rake/N works out exactly in my analysis of 9 hands. The contributed method would've given me 70% less rakeback in this situation. For a tight-arse player like myself, this works to my advantage. However, a looser player would be getting screwed. |
