I'm getting a pre-headache just thinking about how this will be shown on TV.

The Shark Likes Aces

Humberto Brenes raised 30,000 and Willie Tann called from the button. The flop was {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. Brenes fired out 10,000 and Tann called. The turn was the {9-Spades}. Brenes bet 25,000 and Tann called. The river was the {5-Diamonds}. Brenes bet 100,000 and Tann called. Brenes flipped over {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}. Tann mucked his hand.

Brenes increased his stack to 380,000, as Tan slipped to 620,000.

I think part of that Blair call was that she chipped up in the first place by calling him down with middle pair against bottom pair. But on that board, honey, let it go.

With two limpers in the pot, Sorel "Imper1um" Mizzi raised 42,000. Both players called. The flop was {J-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. Mizzi bet 92,000. Ed Betlow raised to 200,000. Mizzi moved all in for 450,000 more. Betlow called. Mizzi showed {K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}. Betlow flipped over {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Mizzi was ahead. The turn was the {A-Clubs} and Betlow took the lead. The river was the {8-Diamonds} and Mizzi was eliminated.

This hand makes me want to cry. If I was Mizzi, I'd be punching a hole in my hotel room wall right now.

That is because you are too results oriented -- if dude flips over AJ or 33, Mizzi would be punching himself in the face. And it's scary how few on this board recognize that there is little difference between calling with an A7 or with an AJ in this situation (it just happens that that little difference came into play this hand).

[/ QUOTE ]

Serious? What, so either Mizzi has a huge hand here or nothing? If my opponent pushes for 450K more and I'm holding middle pair, I think I'll conclude I'm beat, and I'll be right the VAST majority of the time. And, as it turned out, I'd be right in this spot.

But you are right that I'm being results oriented. Mizzi probably wasn't sad to see the guy call with 5 outs. Still, when going deep in the WSOP, I think it's fair to be results oriented.
