dont give any of those non sense variance excuses! [/ QUOTE ] I was playing pretty bad. Last month was my first full month playing cash games instead of SNGs. I was making a lot of silly mistakes. Thank goodness I found you guys to help me. |

[ QUOTE ]
So now I've played almost 19.5k hands at NL25 (started 27jan2007) and am up 11.4 big blinds / 100 hands (5.7 ptbb/100h). And I'm rolled for NL50 now; I'm just not sure my game is up for it yet. I feel like I can be pushed off pots too easily; villains keep raising my cbets and donkbetting me and I'm throwing away my AK unimproved (but I also don't want to play it for stacks). The LAGs are really a nuisance; they show up with backdoor flushes and sets at the most inopportune moments. Maybe I will take some careful shots at NL50 next weekend anyway. [/ QUOTE ] I'm in a same boat with you. I should move up to NL50 but I feel pretty scared even though I have more than enough roll for that level. I'm also going to move from Pokerroom to Pokerstars so it may take for a while to get used to the games there. But I'm pretty sure I can beat NL50 if I can beat NL25. I guess there aren't that much of difference between those two levels. Hopefully I can remember that at the tables too and not make any fancy plays because I think the play is so much different than at NL25. Remember that you don't have to play unimproved AK etc. for stacks just because your opponents are raising your cbets and betting to you. It's frustrating but eventually they will make a mistake and you can punish and stack them. It's not shame to fold a better hand sometimes in marginal spots. And if you don't feel comfortable at the table, just leave it and pick a better one. There will be good tables for everyone at our stakes. Good luck at the tables! Hopefully you can move up without any big problems. And remember to drop down if you don't feel like ready to play NL50. [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] |
