http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/st...29&cc=5901 Is Ashley Cole one of the dumbest players in the EPL? Thank God he left Arsenal. [/ QUOTE ] To be fair on him, this serialisation that the Times is doing was probably decided on months ago, when he wasn't sure he'd be going to Chelsea. But, it's pretty easy to feel good about Cole being gone. This has been going on for what, 2 seasons now? And he made maybe 4-5 appearances for Arsenal in the year before he was traded? Gallas looked well-pleased to be a Gunner on Saturday. Good all around. |

[ QUOTE ] Holy cow, Chelsea-Liverpool and Man U-Arsenal on Sunday! [/ QUOTE ] The way Arsenal and Man U have looked so far, the matchup isn't as intriguing as it should be. Liverpool/Chelsea is interesting though. Chelsea hasn't looked that good, but is doing well because they are playing poor teams. Liverpool just got trounced at home, but allegedly outplayed Everton (I haven't seen the game or the highlights, yet.) [/ QUOTE ] Not sure how you work that out. We're top of the league with 100% and there is no way Arsenal will roll over given the history. Unless Liverpool pull something massive off Chelsea will walk that game. Liverpools defence is a joke at the moment. |

[/ QUOTE ] I meant that Man U has looked so good, that I don't know if Arsenal will pose much of a challenge. Just looking at this thread, you see a lot of negativity in Arsenal's direction. I actually have only seen Arsenal's first match. They actually looked good there, domindating possession, but they couldn't score. That seems to be the general sentiment about them, so far. Does Rooney come back this week? |

yeah Rooney is back, and you are right, Arsenal definitely controls the ball, but no goals. I think they are just not doing a good job of striking. IMO, last weeks game had two strikes that should have been goals, but both times the shooter didn't fire of a great strike.

So Henry and Van Persie are doubtful, same with Toure, god damn. Lets hope we see some Rosicky and Baptista filling in. ManU is w/o Griggs and Park as well.

I am not looking forward to playing Man U without our 2 best central defenders. Wenger says he doesnt feel Baptista is 100% fit and that's why he has been coming off of the bench

On the plus side, Kolo Toure should be fit after a hip injury forced him off in the first half at the AOL Arena. The injured quartet of Philippe Senderos (shoulder), Gael Clichy (foot), Lauren (knee) and Abou Diaby (ankle) all remain four to six weeks away from fitness.
This is taken from Arsenal.com V.Persie and Henry are both listed as doubtful |
