I think its more about quantity than quality anyway. One thing though, as always, they did nothing to address anything I said in my original letter.

Sorry if my letter sucked, I'm just pissed. Also, dont you think Party Poker knows that it's a fact many people depend on them for a living and doing this [censored] their earn?

ghostface - I don't think yours was a very good letter.

The part about "many people depending on your site to supplement their income" would probably have been better left out imo.

Essentially, they are arguing that you are NOT forced to play the monster tables which seems to me to be correct.

Decided to log onto Party and see what its like. There's like 3 tables of full ring, non Monster "Jackpot" tables at 2/4. I've sat at one for about 2 rounds and decided its too damn rocky. Gotta decide if I want to take my action elsewhere or just ride this out and see how Party changes things.

Having 90% of your tables UNDER THE NORMAL "CASH GAMES" TAB be these retarded Monster games is piss poor service. They added an entire section for these things, they didn't have to take away all the non-Monster tables to do this.

I would reccommend NOT downloading this. I haven't done it, but notice its from a first time poster. Most likely something bad.

but are there long wait-lists for the non-monster tables?

in other words, is there currently any demand.

If more non-monster tables are possible if anybody chooses to sit at one (not sure, haven't downloaded it) then it would seem that the reason there are 90% monster-tables is because the customers are perhaps starting so damn many of them.

I still don't think that what is doing is 'right'.
But I think that it is an aspect worth considering.

ghostface - sure party knows that many make some of their income through them. But I don't think that whining about that aspect is going to influence them much.

From their perspective it sounds like, "Wah wah wah. We changed the precious games on you."

Just giving a concrete argument that players such as yourself will no longer play there because the game-selection has changed so drastically is unlikely to be understood or taken seriously anyway.

I understand the desire to send e-mails out of frustration as I have done this a few times in situations that concerned me.

But you really are sending an e-mail that isn't going to be listened to.
They will respond back condescendingly that they really do care about their customers when you know full well that nobody there has paid attention to thing-1 you have said.

Their mail-boxes must be overflowing with hate-mail from 2+2'ers and other full-timers who don't care about freerolls right now.
They don't care. The promotion is here to stay and the customer-service people are just there to do damage-control which basically means telling you that you are wrong when you say that these tables are a bad thing.

Thank you for contacting us.

This is a new promotion and as such will generate a lot of attention in the early phases causing the regular style and level of play on some tables which are not participating in this event to change slightly. This level of play should level out as players become aware of the benefits of continuing to play on these "monster" tables.

MBob,

I just happened upon a 9-handed (out of 10) 2/4 table that had an average pot of $27, the highest non-monster full ring table there.

Within about 2 minutes of sitting down I checked again. $14. The play at the table indicates that if there WAS a loose fish at the table, I'm the one who took his seat.

Also, traffic seems to be down a bit, I know its Tuesday night, but isn't it normally between 50-60K during these hours?

I think I'll go play Stacked and see if I can make it into the MTV Stacked Masters Tourney...

I'm investigating it. As of right now, it took me to a legit site where I download a party.rar file. If there's anything shady, I'll ban this guy.
