jungle,

Given the number of people who claim to have been ripped off by him prior to his reportedly going bust, I wouldn't be surprised by anything Giga did. ZJ, of course, was a huge Giga fan.

[/ QUOTE ]

I had no idea there were ever any rumors (or facts) of Giga ripping people off. I am not really "in the know" in that circle, so I definitely could be wrong.

My line of thought was that when a player thinks of multiaccounting a MTT, alarm bells have got to be ringing. I mean apart from it being unethical and "a wrong and unfair thing" I can't believe that many people would try it given the risks (given that we are tlaking about 5 and 6 figure prizes). There is a large electronic e trail of accounts, IPs, etc, I thought that most people would ditch the idea then. From reading giga's strategy posts and about his massive success, I would have thought he was smart enough to not do this. From reading ZJs posts in the stars 10/20nl and h@ll thread, and previous threads of his, I don't think ZJ is so bright in a lot of ways.

I am kind of suprised to hear negative things about giga though. I had no idea.

All of a sudden I'm taking a lot more pride in the $1,500/ month I make from playing poker with just one account.

Have you considered the possibility that maybe he got all those wins (or atleast some of those wins) because he was doing it with multiple accounts ?

[/ QUOTE ]

The fact that he multi-tabled does not change the fact that he did get all of the wins that we know about in the 'ZeeJustin' account (unless he was somehow able to chip dump). He may have other wins but he cannot take credit for them and list them on his web site. The real problem I have with the whole scenario is that I have to play a bigger percentage of players that are better than me due to the multi-tableing and possibly face the same person more than one time.

and rakeback doesn't affect the outcome of the game. thus against ToC but not cheating.

Yeah, I don't think rakeback is unethical at all. I wasn't saying it was, and I don't want to hijack this -- so anyone else who is as paranoid as I am and didn't sign up for rakeback should PM me. I assume I won't be getting many PMs.

But as Zee pointed out, it's a T&C violation, so I never signed up for a rakeback deal -- despite how much it's probably cost me. Again, I certainly don't believe rakeback is unethical in any way, shape, or form -- and I fully admit my not signing up for a deal was pure paranoia.

I guess we'll be seeing a lot more of ZJ at PS? Or will this affect that somehow? I think it actually would be cool if all the top sites had some kind of agreement to cross-ban cheaters, like the casinos do in Vegas. That would turn what is becoming a large disincentive, into a GIGANTIC one.

[/ QUOTE ]

I've wondered the same thing; if they share banned account names or Ips, etc. I can't imagine making 50k a month then having to go back a real job.

[/ QUOTE ]well i think JJprodigys accounts were banned on almost all sites so i wouldnt be surprised if this happened to ZJ. in UB's ToC it says if you have been banned on another site then UB can ban u

Secondly, almost all of you have broken the rules at some point. How many of you have created a second account for rakeback? Neither creating a second account nor receiving rakeback is allowed. Both are expressly forbidden. Maybe you’ll see things my way once all your money is seized for doing that. If I’m a cheater, so are you.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
PS: Party will never seize any of my money because I don't cheat. Sweet how that works.

[/ QUOTE ]

Has anyone else not signed up for a rakeback deal because they knew it violated the T&C (even though they realized how much money they were losing by not doing rakeback)? I don't think rakeback is cheating or unethical; but I was concerned about the T&C violation and the obvious consequences that could arise (as Zee points out).

- DVaut1 (1 account, no rakeback, overly-self righteous, probably a complete moron for not having rakeback...but sleeping easy tonight).

I'm a pu**y too, same party account (through a 2p2 banner) since day 1.

2. Most people have the expectation that Party isn't going to confiscate their funds for rakeback.

Reason: They have never done this before (to my knowledge).

[/ QUOTE ]

My guess is this would be something akin to Armegeddon for 80% of this site. I would think they would put out some stern warnings or something first before they killed off some gigantic % of their $$ business like that.

Is ZeeJustin still allowed on the MagicTheGathering online tourney servers?

ZJ,

I just want to point out one thing from your post to everyone here, just in case they missed it the first time:

I have been at the same table as myself. ... I realize my standard play should have been to sit one account out when this happens [but I didn't]
