I wish I was as good as Kaz! The only reason I make money, is because the otehr european players are even worse then me [/ QUOTE ] QFMFT I recently have put my vag away and tried [again]to make a perma move up - kaz's advice for playing prime time & shorter sessions when you feel like playing well helps ur confidence and puts you in the best position IMHO is something i've really tried to do and it's working well. [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I also suggest/remind having a 'wide' 5 buyin berth and what Tickner/Pokey said about don't get way more tricky try and play the same is true. If the worst comes to the worst you'll be a sligthly better NL50 player - or so I keep telling myself when I move back down Here's an annoying situation thst I'm not sure how to handle with shorties when I got 3bet minraised. Im in some sort of stretch where Im convinced that people are bluffing me. Therefore, Im calling much too loosely with marginal hands.
help me convince myself otherwise so I can profit. |

munkayyy, depending on how short we are talking, if i think im beat there is no point in drawing when there isnt much profit available. If you dont think you have at least a slight edge i fold, if u think its about a flip i almost always 4bet AI. Once again tho, a 20bber is diff theory than a 55bb

How do u play vs shorties 3bet minraising you preflop? [/ QUOTE ] This is not as hard to answer, you must GAMBOOOOL ... this is an easy spot for us ex-sng'er, as we just turn on our shallow stack push/fold range-o-meter. Basically it is all about putting villian on a range and if you think you are ahead off that range, then flippedy-flip for shortstacks and else fold (And don't overestimate the average retarded shortstacks range, they are usually quite wide) But then again, with my donk'n'go background I might be biased toward taking this approach. But I have yet to try and actually play poker with the shortstacks |
