Have any of my fellow US players reduced the amount of $$$ (buy-ins) they are keeping at their active sites?

[/ QUOTE ]

Increased, actually, the opportunity cost of busting up a roll is so much larger now.

[/ QUOTE ]

yea basically. my plan is to keep big enough rolls on all the sites i play on, and when the time comes to cash out i can get a check made for part of it.

i really, really don't want to go site-busto at this point, and i'm somewhat confident in my ability to always get my monies from the sites if i want to. but if some poker sites pull a neteller and freeze up the monies... hyachachach

[/ QUOTE ]

The freezing worries me. I'm really grateful that my online poker roll is less than 20% of my net worth.

we spend our weeks dominated by this game. trying to get in as many hours as possible, thinking how too make the most profit given ability to deal with levels of risk, thinking how to change our games.

sometimes i wonder whether i will look back and think what a waste of my youth this all was, i could of travelled as much as possible and seen the world. then i think, [censored] that, this has been the best thing which could of happened, not having a financial worry in the world and having an hourly rate ten times what other people my age get paid for doing jobs they hate. having something which i find fascinating and is available to me 24hrs a day. profitable and interesting, the best hobby possible.

but having said all that, sometimes i wish i could spend a week doing nothing, watching trashy tv, going to play lots of sports every day, reading a book, and not thinking about how much im throwing down the drain but not grinding. im not saying your doing that tcorbin, i just wish sometimes i didnt have the burden of knowing every hour of my day not at the laptop costs me $100+. i guess thats why i drink so much, becuase its a great way to escape that feeling. and yes i do feel i have a very good balance, but still im sure there are some people out there playing ther 50 hour weeks and earning a [censored] load more than i do.

anyways, this probs doesnt belong in the forum, but i felt like replying to tcorbins post.

gl all.
