V1.46- When I use the stop and close tables or stop and kill PP the program closes nothing and simply freezes up. I need to kill it through the task manager. This is a fairly new problem but Im not sure if its just this release or the last few releases. [/ QUOTE ] |

I don't know if one is related to the other but I didn't have the screensaver installed when it wasn't working correctly. I hit the reinstall button and this time around it worked. Both the stop & close tables, and the stop & kill PP. [/ QUOTE ] This is almost surely a coincidence. |

Since my question was ignored I'll take it as this software is against Party's policy. I wouldn't put my money into this then.

When I try to leave IdleMiner running, at some point PartyPoker seems to freeze up.
I only mine on 4 tables. I don't let IMiner log in under my screenname, and this seems to limit the number of tables which can be opened to 4. Anyway, what is happening is that the Party tables just freeze up. On all 4 tables, nothing moves. At some point they all just froze in the middle of a hand. Does anyone else have this problem? Is Party trying to prevent people from observing hands if they haven't logged in, or is this just happening to me? |

That is irregular but it is not party trying to prevent you from observing hands. There are much more effective methods than randomly freezing up the client
A good test would be open 4 tables, leave it for a while and see if it freezes...without IdleMiner running. If it does not freeze then there is some interaction IdleMiner is having with Partypoker to cause it. E-mail for more help. |

I have this problem from time to time with only a few tables. Perhaps 1 or 2 of my 12 tables are not doing anything.
A solution may be to have idleminer close any table that hasnt produced data for say 5 minutes or something. I dont know if thats possible or not. I just close the tables that are frozen manually and let IM open new ones. |

IdleMiner,
Great software, man. Just got it the other day, and I'm impressed. I have a feature request, and I'm not sure if this is the place to bust it out, but here goes... Is there any way for you to incorporate into IdleMiner the ability to ensure that tables will be mined only from their start? I'm trying to keep my PokerTracker database free of any incomplete tournaments, and currently have to go through and manually purge them. I'm working on some SQL that can handle that job automatically, but think it'd be fantastic if you could make IdleMiner do it. That way I won't waste any time mining incomplete tournaments. Just a thought. Thanks again for the great software. -Brass |

Brass,
IdleMiner already works that way. It will only open SNG tournaments while they are in the "registering" phase, so that it gets the entire tournament. |

Haha, well how about that. Alright, great. I must just be getting timeouts or something. Thanks!

Hey IdleMiner,
For some reason, I am only able to log an entire tournament about one out of five or so tries. I noticed this problem when I tried mining four tables overnight, and went into PokerTracker's "Party & Affiliates Tournament Results - Manual Entry" to verify that all places were recorded. Today I opened only two tournaments, to see if perhaps timeouts were what was causing the problem. Both tournaments completed without any internet lag, and I also made sure that PokerTracker wasn't trying to import at the same time as IdleMiner was writing to the files (don't know if this is even an issue, though). When I imported both tournaments at their conclusion, I went into the manual entry dialog again, to ensure that all players' finishing places were recorded. Both had only six places recorded. Since I only want to keep those tournaments for which all finishing places are recorded, I'm currently spending a lot of time mining and deleting wasted tournaments. Do you have any idea what the problem is, or how we can diagnose it? Thanks, Brass One other thing I wanted to add is that I opened up the files for the two incomplete tournaments that I watched and, sure enough, when searching for the string "finished", the places that were missing in PokerTracker are also missing from the hand history files. It looks as though the hands in which the missing people get booted are there, but there's no "xxx finished in xxx place" recorded for the hand. |
