Cardo,

Wow, I must be some sort of paradox or something.

Things would be a lot easier for you if you stopped going through life with the assumption that you are so much smarter than everyone else.

[/ QUOTE ]

Funny, I feel the exact same way about you.

[/ QUOTE ]

This can't be real.

HE can't be real; his whole shtick with the 'hey guys, this would be super sweet, LOL STFU' - like, I thought this was a gag routine or something, but he never leaves home without it. Certain... parties have begun to suspect that something's amiss here.

[/ QUOTE ]
Have you taken anyone's advice seriously in this thread? Or do you just respond to everyone who doesn't coddle you like the misunderstood genius you are deserves to be coddled with snarky one-liners? Frankly, I see a whole lot of "let's see how clever I can be in this response" from you and not much addressing anyone's actual point.

Cardo,

What things do you think would be a lot easier for me if I stopped going through life with the assumption that I am so much smarter than everyone else?

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, I have no solid evidence - clearly you're a roaring professional success and that's probably not about to change any time soon. However, having known some very bright, outgoing, clever, bullying control-freaks in my life, I suspect that you might pay for it in your personal life somewhere. After all, you are in your mid-thirties and unmarried, despite being awesome at literally everything. Purely a matter of choice? We asked our panel...

And what IS Kyle's point. There is none. It's just some [censored] to say as this whole thing degenerates into a free-for-all for no reason. I JUST WANTED A [censored] JOB.

The way you go about looking for a job reflects a great deal about your personal life; suffice to say the reason you can't find a job is because of your outlook on employment and success in general.

nath,

"let's see how clever I can be in this response"

Exactly. Cardo appears to be much more interested in demonstrating how clever and smart he is than actually addressing his problems.

It's probably more fun to whine and complain all the time secure in the knowledge that you are one of the smartest people in the world, as opposed to actually going out and trying - and finding out that, lo and behold, there are actually a lot of people out there better and smarter than you at just about everything.

NOT JUST HIM. EVERYBODY. EVERYBODY. A TON of people have given you advice that you've dismissed. And some of them are trying to give it to you in a direct, cut-the-BS fashion; those are the people you dismiss fastest, accuse of being bullies, etc.

Actually, it is. I've been there and done that, and while it feels good for awhile, it is quite unfulfilling (obviously). One of the most disturbing (and life-changing) things told to me when I was 18-19 years old was by a co-worker who said: "Kyle, you don't do anything unless you're excellent at it, do you?"

Initially I thought nothing of it (in fact, I reveled in the quasi-compliment), but after a few days, I realized what a downer that comment really was.

Hopefully Anacardo can take that to heart. And if not, he can go [censored] himself, because I look back at myself 4-6 years ago and see present-day Anacardo and think "What a [censored] idiot."

Again, what jobs did you send resumes for?

Cardo,

"I've made a $2000 down payment and four $320 monthly payments on this car."

Why did you purchase this car given your financial condition at the time?

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, at the time, I was at my peak career earn and my then-current car, a 25-year-old Datsun, had just blown up in spectacular fashion. Seemed well within my means.

[/ QUOTE ]

If you don't mind I would like to know what your total bankroll was and what games you played. The one time we talked about poker I suggested you read GTAOT. Did you ever get around to it? I understand if you would rather not get into this here but just read the book before you ever play poker again k.

I have never had a car payment. I think there is no worse way to waste money. Just my opinion and I got a lot of nutty ones. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

FFK is not some dame.

Thing is, we could have had a much different conversation here, but we didn't, because, fundamentally, you and people like you want people to lick your boot a little and listen to some [censored] as the price of pedagogy - to you, that's 'straight talk' or whatever. You, and whoever else feels like it, can hammer away with that [censored] until the Day of Judgment, and I still won't be havin' none of it. I can't imagine why you waste your time.
