jonyy,

You're right I checked PT and I'm down like 300-400bb from just pure spew. Wheres the damn fold button again? Raise/fold, I need to play like this more. Still 4 times I did flop a set against an overpair, all money goes in on flop and he hits 2 outer, no exaggeration.

Its cool, I'm a very stubborn mofo and I will get good at this game and make money from it, I dont caqre how long it takes. I will post my graph when I get unstuck.

yo jonyy,
Your point about being responsible for every hand you play is a good one, but if you've only been coolered 3 times over 40k hands, you're running sick hot. Seriously.

Edit: A quick glance through my database shows 3 set over sets in the last 30k hands, not as bad as I thought. Interesting.

One other thing I'd like to add to jonyy's post:

TABLE SELECTION!!!

Too often in the past, I'd stay at what WAS a good table, but the fishies left and all that was left was me with like 4 other 2p2's or TAG/rocks.

Now, when I select my tables, I target the fishies and when I or someone else gets'em and they leave, I DO TOO. This seems simple enough, but I guarantee many of us don't do this. This has done wonders for my BB/100...

Just an idea....

Anyone who says that table selection isn't important in the micros can DIAGF. It's the best part of my game right now and it's getting better too. A nice rule to go by is that I want to be the best player at the table at least 75% of the time and no worse than the 2nd best.

What guidelines do you use to table select? Do you use Sixth Sense? Also, please mention site and stakes.

I agree that table selection is very important even at microstakes. I typically just try to avoid tables with over 4 regulars and/or extremely short stacked players. FTP $50NL, FWIW.

I don't use sixth sense, I just buddylist extensively.
I play 50NL on Party, so table selecting is easier there.

Your guidelines suck, btw. 4 regs is so freakin many, I wouldn't play at a table with 2. Also, shorties at 50NL suck something awful, I don't mind playing with a couple because they're just donating money.

I move around tables a ton during a session.
If there's a decent reg on my left that's picking on me (same for a bad LAG), I leave.
If there are 3 people with semi-reasonable play/stats, I leave.
If I'm not at least the second best player at the table, I leave.
If I'm the table isn't giving any action, I'll consider leaving.
If I can't say 'I'm going to profit from you by ______' after 50 or so hands to a few people on the table, I leave.
Any of the above are trumped by one >80bb uberdonk though, obv.

Brag: I just became Pooh-bah

Beat: I don't deserve to be, my shot at NL$100 is going terrible. I was up 3 buys ins, then dropped down 6. I can't play my normal game at NL100. I'm too scared or something.

Maybe I should also try NL100 at a site besides WorldPX.
