I'm not looking forwad to the possibility of a backcourt of Dixon and Martin. But hopefully the Raps can take a page from the Nets' psychological playbook and not release any info on Ford and Jose before Friday. Sucks for us fans, but I think it'll be beneficial for the end result (i.e. release news that both players are doubtful and then they both play).

I'm really hoping we can pull it off Friday night, because if somehow we win I am confident that we can come back to TO on Sunday and win the series. Again, not likely - but anything's possible.

I was offered a ticket to Friday's game in NJ and am wondering if it's worth it to go. It'll be a long flight home if they lose.

Good thing you didn't go for games 3 and 4. I almost made the trek there for it. That would've sucked.

I think the Raps are due for a win in Jersey. Although this all depends on the news on Calderon and Ford. I'm optimistic that they are okay as it looks like they were out just as a precautionary.

If we can somehow steal one in NJ and you can book it that when we come home for game 7, ACC will blow the roof. The atmosphere would be out of this world and I'll feel really good about our chances in this one. You can book it! Lawrence Frank does not want to come back to Toronto so look for a dogfight this Friday.

I also loved the dueling "Lets go Raptors!, VC suck chants!"
back and forth during the 4th quarter of the game. Raps fans have been doing during the pregame but was awesome to see the whole ACC chanting all at once. That was awesome!!

We must go to game 7 - if there is one. Hit up Lord Stanley's or whatever and just go nuts. I think the ACC only lets you have a 2 beer maximum so all of you predrink lol.

According to Brian Colangelo's interview on the Fan 590, Anthony Parker is now our starting PG, with Juan Dixon as his backup. I hate Dixon with the ball in his hands since his best quality is his jump shot - which he cannot do efficiently. At least this ensures Martin won't be playing significant minutes, and I expect one of Ford/Calderon to come off the bench, at least.

Calderon did an interview this morning saying he is OK. Still hurting but if he had to play today he would. He wants to play baaad and he'll need to be run over by a truck to keep him out. This time I'm so glad we're off for a few days.

I think Colangelo's interview is just trying to blow some smoke and throw NJ off guard. There's no chance AP is going to be the starting PG. If Sam kept the media in the dark that he's starting Mopete and Bargnani for game 5, there's no chance they will leak out that AP is going to start at PG and give the Nets time to set up their plays this early.

Um, I know this is the Raptor thread but I'll be at game 6 in Jersey(as a Net fan). I don't know what I'll be doing pregame but if anyone is going and is doing something interesting let me know. Please don't berate me for being a Nets fan. [img]/images/graemlins/ooo.gif[/img]

How the hell are we going to win a road game ???? We're going to need CB4 to bring his A+ game (say 30/15) I think.

We also need to get him the ball CLOSER to the basket, and at better angles ... he has to also fight harder for position.

Come on road win, 1 time!
