I am very confused: Why is Doc Rivers still the coach of the Boston Celtics? Is it not widely agreed upon that he is like.. a terrible coach? I don't get it [/ QUOTE ] Everyone but Danny Ainge and much of the Boston media knows he is terrible. |

It's awful, I like Ainge and his drafting (should never make a trade ever though) but Doc is horrible and everyone who follows the Celtics know it. If Doc wasnt so damn good with the media (his one skill) he would have been run out after the playoff loss to the Pacers. |

ugh.. Pruitt will in fact be a bust. There's no way he's better than West. The only way he'll have a better career than Delonte is if Delonte never plays again.

More turnovers than field goals for Gerald Green.
NBA level players on the Celtics roster: Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Al Jefferson, Rajon Rondo, Ryan Gomes. No one else has shown they deserve rotation minutes on a playoff caliber NBA team. The fact that Kendrick Perkins, Gerald Green, and Telfair and/or Pruitt are going to be the bench is a scary bad thought. We are going to be the New Jersey Nets unless we get a veteran AND Tony Allen returns to form to backup Pierce and Ray Allen. |

Just read article about no one offering Matt Barnes the MLE!!! He plays up-tempo game very well, is a bigtime hustler, and definitely would give us some depth and defense which we lack a lot right now.
He is a pure 3, something the Celtics have none of right now, and does a little bit of everything. Reminds me a little bit or old friend Eric Williams. |

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah Pruitt is only quicker/better ball handler/better shooter/better defender than Delonte so there is no way he will ever be better than West LOL. At least Pruitt also won't go 1 on 3 every break like Dwest did only to get his shot violently rejected or constantly get injured like Dwest. Maybe if Doc was smart he would give Pruitt Allen Ray's minutes to show what he can do. |

Pruitt just ranks really poorly based on all the stats I've read. The only big benefit over Delonte at this point is Delonte is injury prone. Given that Pruitt hasn't played an NBA minute, I'm not ready to say he won't be either.
Wages of Wins: http://dberri.wordpress.com/2007/06/...the-nba-draft/ "Views unfavorably: Jeff Green, Taureen Green, Gabe Pruitt..." DraftExpress: a look at the PGs Hollinger (need Insider): http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/draft2007...02=stateChanged Pruitt ranks near the bottom. |
