I have a $20 bet going into the final table on either Amnon Filippi or Kenny Tran to win versus a friend's Deeb or Singer. Who's got it best?

Agreed.

Gotta go with Amnon.

I'd say Barry would be a big threat if he had some chips, but he's pretty short stacked now, and I doubt he'll be a factor unless he has some major luck.

Amnon will take this down for NYC.

Amnon Filippi vs. Kenny Tran
(Razz) Amnon Filippi and Kenny Tran are both vying for the chip lead, and they clash in a big pot.

Filippi: X X 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] X
Tran: X X T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] X

3rd: Tran has the bring in for 10,000, Filippi completes to 30,000, and Tran calls.

4th: Filippi bets 30,000, and Tran calls.

5th: Filippi bets 60,000, and Tran calls.

6th: Filippi bets 60,000, and Tran calls.

7th: Filippi bets 60,000, and Tran goes into the tank for about a minute before he calls. Filippi shows 8-6-5 for an eight low, and Tran mucks. Filippi takes down a big pot.

Wouldn't most people find a fold by 5th street here?

[/ QUOTE ]
Or 4th. Or 3rd? Maybe he has been taking lessons from Eli Elezra.

[/ QUOTE ]

Lol wtf is this? It has to be a reporting screwup. 4th is the easy fold if the cards are correct.

Deeb-the only defense with a name like Freddy Deeb is a winning resume. He'll win because he needs it most.

Barry and Freddy HU ftw. Gl for tomorrow Sir Barry G.

[/ QUOTE ]

Barry's going to need some luck. He's down to 750k apparently, which is 7.5 big bets at the current level. Freddy is sitting pretty though.

[/ QUOTE ]

Wow yeah I didn't realise Barry had gotten so short. I noticed he'd taken down the last three pots he played, assumed he was up around 2mil still. Still an ominous presence at the final table though.

I like what I've seen of Singer too, wouldn't be surprised to see him grind it out to short-handed play. Hopefully someone derails Amnon anyways.

Default Elezra\'s blind bettinghand

folded to Elezra in SB who calls BB. BB raises. Elezra reraises blind. Flop. He bets blind, hiding the flop from his sight and looking at his opponent. The BB mucks AK. He then looks at Eli's cards (who hadn't seen them) and throws them across the table in disgust).
I was standing right there so I saw their cards. Elezra claimed that he never saw his cards. He had A2o.

If this turns out to be an accurate depiction of the hand, it would appear that the recent news story I saw about the re-emergence of PCP has some credence.
