My pokertracker curse is over.
30K hands, $80 profit, oooooooooh yeaaaaaah. I'm playing better than I ever have and thinking about the game in a way that I think is really productive, and that makes me a happy camper. I hope that I can keep up my good play over the next 30k, because while I don't think I deserved to breakeven, I certainly wasn't playing >3PTBB/100 pokah. |

God this graph is pathetic, 1/3 of this is tilt which really [censored] urks me. I am running way worse than I ever have over a small stretch like this. Every [censored] reg on PS 50NL stacks off with an over pair when I raise the flop with my set and hits. Four [censored] times this has a happenned, I mean I'm at least break even if not for those 4 hands. BR is lowest its been in months at $1550, ffs make this BS stop. I [censored] cringe whenever I get dealt QQ/JJ now.
April so far, obv stop at hand 2035.

I've probably played close to 40k hands since the beginning of March (aka the end of my spewiness/tilt). Could be coincidence, maybe not, but I only recall 3 true "coolers" this entire time. set vs set, K hi flush vs A hi flush and runner runner 4 card flush against my set AI on flop.
I really really really hope that you guys are running bad and not spewing, b/c if you combine the two you will see [censored] for results (aka my first 90k hands at NL50). I just don't know what you guys consider running bad or what coolers are???? Personally, since I changed my game, I have hardly experienced variance. Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not, but over 40k hands I have to think that I was contributing to my running bad by playing bad. Hardly ever do I play for my stack anymore and it's almost always when I'm ahead. Sorry for this huge rant, but mental stability is absolutely critical for survival especially at the micros where people do the dumbest [censored]. Embrace donkeys: this includes fish AND bad TAGs, embrace POT CONTROL, don't worry about beats and I think a lot of you will be better off. |

[/ QUOTE ] This is what I've been doing this month and it's paid off quite well, actually. I posted earlier in this thread about how I've adjusted to not playing for stacks nearly as much and instead of a seismigraph for a graph, I have this:

<3 Felix....couldn't agree more
OLD GRAPHS /|/\/\|/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/ NEW GRAPHS / x 1000 Pot control is your greatest tool IMO. Not only does pot controlling things like tptk or even overpairs keep the pot small when we're beat, it also OPENS UP THE OTHER PERSON'S CALLING/BLUFFING RANGE [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] While I'm sure what I just said was quite obvious, many of you probably never even thought about it or didn't realize quite how important it is. |
