Since I'm at school I haven't been to a raps game in a while and I didn't realize how good the crowd is.

I wish leafs games could get crowds as good as the Raps game.

I was at the game today. Sick game to be at the crowd was nuts. Some thoughts.
Why does Bosh always get the ball and than settle for face up midrange jumpers instead of driving?

[/ QUOTE ]

Bosh has said that he does not want to challenge Collins who is much bigger than he is and he's just wasting energy against him. Plus he gets double teamed a lot.

[ QUOTE ]

Why does New Jersey run the same play where they drive all 5 Raptors converge in the paint and they kick the ball out to someone for a wide open three?

[/ QUOTE ]

Because it works. Raps would rather have someone like Kidd take an open look shot for 3 than have Carter waltz in.

[ QUOTE ]

The reffing seemed awful today, maybe that is because I was there and any questionable call was followed by a [censored] chant. Do others agree.

[/ QUOTE ]

Standard for playoffs.

I was at the game as well, I thought the officiating was so-so, I can never really tell live since emotions get in the way and it's easier after they show a million replays...What plays in particular did you guys not like? The mo-pete 6th foul was questionable and the Bosh goal-tend was close.. I'll need to see a replay.

We really tried anything we could to give this game away

The crowd was nuts.... Vince was hearing it relentlessly but he had a nice game and is in a groove.. great atmosphere all around, everyone was standing once it got down to around 4 mins in the 4th.. Jose Jose Jose Joseeeeee

- Calderon was AMAZING, talk about putting the team on his shoulders.. also solid contributions from Bargnani, MP, AP, etc..

- When that last shot was up in the air it went pretty silent for a split second.. and then the sigh of relief.. open look, good shooter, we caught a break.

So, now to the task at hand.. Game 6 @ NJ.. I'm glad we get to fight another day, now we just have to put together a good performance in the Swamp.. something we haven't done all playoffs + the 2 regular season games.

Now that Frank has time to adjust to the likely lineup shakeup they'll be ready.. there are question marks surrounding both PG's health going into Friday.. I hope one of them at least play, cuz if not D-MART FTW?!!!?!?

- Finally, darn I wish we won game one.

Ok, I only caught the 4th quarter (yikes) and missed tj's "injury" but can someone explain why our starting pg for the game was on the bench in street clothes during the fourth quarter? Either you're injured and leave the game or you are in it... Also, it seemed like tj wasen't even glad his team won, in the last minute he was just to the side, not talkin' to anyone, hands in his pokcets, just lougin', very strange attitude. Same thing when Snackbar missed the 3, he just remained passive and didn't show any emotion at the victory...

TJ went to the hospital because he hurt his back, since he has a history of back injuries they wanted to be safe.
As for not celebrating certain guys are more passive. One could easily have made the opposite argument if he acted crazy, "Why is TJ getting so crazy we still have a long way to go?" As Marwan said when we won the game I breathed a sigh of relief, I didn't jump for joy.

One or ideally both of Calderon and Ford need to be back for game 6.
4thstreet we clearly disagree on the TJ/Calderon debate, one thing I will say is a lot of plays at the last minute are drawn up for TJ and it is not him being a ball hog.

If there is a game 7 I will be there [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] FPPs.

You got tickets to the game through FPPs? Sick.
Also how did the Jose chants start? That's the first time I have heard it all year.

CB4 goes off for 35 and 15 in Game 6 bringing it back to the zoo for the series win. Book it.

I hope you are right.. just one win in Jersey and we can take this thing if healthy.. I don't understand why they struggle so much in Jersey of all places.. It's like the easiest road environment among maybe all the playoff cities.. the atmosphere and enthusiasm in the building for game 3 + 4 (3 especially) was like a regular season game. .. not to mention the empty seats..

I somehow fell asleep at halftime and was confused for hours as to how much of the game I had seen.

Anyway, GJ raps even though you let it get way too close. 3-2 ain't so bad. We can still win this thing!

It's great to hear these kind of chants in a non-soccer environment.
