In a tourny with decent players, they adjust to the slow blinds and don't bust as fast. Eventually everyone gets stuck in the 25-40bb range, it just takes longer than your "standard" internet tourney. For example, I just saw a player with 9k make a 3x raise for 1/3 of his stack....(I didn't notice if he had aces or not). I doubt he lost a big pot to get down to that point....people just let it happen to themselves (me included).
