25nl or 50nl? 6bi downswing pretty standard.

50nl
not too bad, just left a sour taste in my mouth. flopped one set, and in that hand got set over setted. flopped the nut straight with the straight flush draw and lost to a turned flush (AI on the flop). I guess i'm okay with how i played for the most part, just a few tough beats. |

the way i try and see it is that over say 50k hands, you'll get a monster beat say X number of times (for the sake of simplicity only, lets say its 20 times. its more than that, but just for this example), and you'll lose a whole stack. thing is that you dont know how those 20 are going to be delivered... you may play like 45k hands and run as hot as hell, not losing at all, then have a 20bi ds in 5k hands. you'll end up in teh same place as the guy who goes +2, -1, +3, -2, etc etc but it feels that much more brutal.
so when I go on a 6+bi ds, i just say hey, im just getting the coolers out of the way cause at the end of 50k hands im gonna be in the same place as I would be if i went like +7 then -6 in one session. maybe that helps... |

Also, quick question, are there any major differences in strategy I should know about between playing PL and NL? Thanks

But it does help controlling tilt. |

Happy birhtday Fiskdal
Enjoy your cake How old? I played awful this weekend - this is when I had a long session and tried to get out of +/- 1/2 buyin territory. I kept on winning some small pots then bluffing away again. rinse repeat Then multi-stackage on all tables occured SHIP IT!
