downswing has hit $3000. this [censored] really messes with my head. today i got AI 12 times. just checked -- was ahead 10 out of 12, won only 2. lost to one 2-outer, one 4-outer, and three 5-outers on the river after getting in on the turn.

at some point i just get so crazy after donating 4 buyins to some [censored] 80/10 that i go on monkey tilt and donate 4 more buyins to the likes of you bastards.

do you folks just quit when down a certain amount, even if you feel like you're killing the game?

oh ya i'm pretty stoned so that's why i sound crazy. i'm not crazy i don't think. actually i read that if you say 'i'm not crazy' it actually means you aren't because crazy people are too crazy to realize that they might be crazy and thus don't even mention it and consider the possibility that they are crazy.

lol, delta has issues sometimes.

Ya, I totally do. The money flying around from this game makes my head spin (not just the money I'm making, but the money others are making, too).

My girlfriend for example- ohhh. I gave her $100 'just because' one night to have fun with her friends and that's a big [censored] deal for her, a lot of money. Yet I felt really, really cheap since if I was playing online I could lose 10x that much to some [censored] I don't even know and not really care. I think it just makes it hard to relate to a lot of other 20 somethings when we have retirement accounts and they have student loans.

so basically we make a lot more money than other people AMIRITE

for our age, assuming you're 'our age'. which means we don't have to think about/deal with the same problems/issues that they do, because almost everyone friend of mine who just graduated is in the same boat- broke and has loans to pay off. and it's not just the making of the money, it's how we make it- we might have a $3k downswing, or make $1k in an hour- that's incredible compared to the grind of $12/hour/40hours

orange, aj, others on downswings:

do you really have -15bi downswings at one level? i downswing this many buyins on a depressingly routine basis, but i always wind up moving down at around -8 bi or so, and then down below that again. e.g. right now have dropped 400->200->100 and am still losing, but it definitely helps a ton to drop down. just had a horrible session of 100nl getting sucked out on in $200 pots 4 times in a row, but my main thought was "i just saved $800 over what would have happened if that was at 200nl."
