TWP,
"why can you not just confirm that you understand the agreed upon standard for deciding, as I quoted from the referenced post by Rolen in this thread?" I am not confirming/denying anything regarding judgements of any part of this bet until I have reviewed all that has been posted and discussed w/ the other judges. |

[ QUOTE ]
TWP, "Is there any reason why El Diablo and the other panel members are not willing to acknowledge that the only standard for them to use is the one which was agreed upon prior to the bet and which has now been confirmed by both participants in the bet?" As part of the judging process, we will determine what has been agreed to re: the bet and standards of proof. [/ QUOTE ] No. This is not something which is within the realm of the panel to decide. Look at this post by Rolen, responding to my post, responding to your post: [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] TWP, The panel will decide based on this statement: "If the panel thinks that the evidence is not strong enough to conclusively award one side the win, I have no problem calling it a tie." and acceptance: "I agree." We understand that both of you will have different opinions regarding what is a satisfactory level of proof. Please feel free to elaborate on that in your argument posts and it will be taken into account in the decision-making. The panel will decide whether or not there is enough evidence to make a decision about the core element of the bet - whether or not g2c won that amount. [/ QUOTE ] Wait. I do not accept the panel under this condition. Just because I agreed to have it called a tie if the panel does not think the evidence is strong enough to conclusively award it to one side does not say anything about the standard for conclusively awarding it. That standard was already established as two identical PT data sets. Nothing can change that. [/ QUOTE ] agreed [/ QUOTE ] |

TWP,
As I stated, I am no longer weighing in publicly regarding my opinion on any such issues. The panel will explain what they judged based on and how they arrived at their decision. At that point if you are not satisified with that and choose to not recognize the panel as valid, of course that is within your rights. |

TWP, if the panel does not decree (lol) that there are two identical sets of stats that point in one direction, as per our original agreement, the bet is void.

TWP, Rolen:
The panel is currently in recess until tonight or whenever the jcg dude posts again. If he does not post or adds no new info, the panel will rule based on the evidence currently present. |

Can you PM the participants when you guys decide, please? Or better yet email me if I PM you my email address? I won't be checking 2p2 often over the weekend.

I say we give him ample time, but i'd prefer a deadline to 'tonight'. Say 12 hrs from now? 24 hrs if that's not enough time for the dataminer dude?
BTW, if the panel have any questions of my argument, please ask them. |

Going to chime in here to say that I believe at some point in the thread it was stated that if two NON 25/50 identical sources were found that rolen would accept g2cus 25/50 numbers. I believe this was proposed by twp.
I am not going to reread the theard (holla) to figure out if that was precisely what was stated- but iirc that is how the "2 identical stats" thing was modified and or agreed to. Rolen accepted g2cus 25/50 numbers (on twps suggestion) provided someone could confirm/duplicate highstakes higher table numbers. Isnt that what has happened? Well played both and good luck to both with the panel. |

jcg: Can you give us some time estimate on how long it will take your friend to provide the results?
panel: Since I won't be on 2p2 over the weekend, if you have any questions for me I'd strongly prefer if you can ask them in the next hour. edit: El Diablo, if you weren't so mean in ATF maybe I would be able to post on 2p2 on my PDA by now and monitor this thread while I travel. |
