doesn't the first raise of over 3x make AA/KK less likely?

I wouldn't be surprised if this had been Jacks.

He had A9o. But he would have flopped trip nines, so good laydown.

Seriously, an average 10$r will make that play with a shitload of hands. I can't possibly see how that's not at least a call.

easy call. especially in a 10$. the shear amount of donkeys in that tourney and the added fact that it is a rebuy makes me believe that donk could have anything from 99-JJ to AK, or AQ.

i am a donk and my move here would be to call.

You already know what your opponent has, so you're playing face up.. that makes this hand very easy to play.. You have great pot odds, but more importantly you can be assured that your implied odds are the rest of his stack if a Q hits.. call and play for set value.

Second, if it is so obvious to 'good players' that this mini-raise means AA/KK then other 'good players' will make this mini-raise with hands other than AA/KK since it would be so easy to make their opponents fold.

The general assumption is that the opponent sucks, and doesn't know what level 3 or 4 thinking is.

So why does the guy raise so much to begin with and then make a tiny min raise when reraised? I dunno theres no way I give the guy AA-KK 90% of the time.
