lol, so true. I live in a suburb of CLE but there are some parts of East Cleveland specifically that are just awful.

TheProdigy, there are all kinds of things you can legally carry to help protect yourself: CCW (21+), some knives, mace, carabiner (as long as you never actually say you're carrying it for SD purposes), etc.

anyway if you really want serious answers you will probably have to go somewhere else. glocktalk.com and ar15.com are both good.

btw the 'bee-bee type pistol' sounds like a really, really, really awful idea. If you really need to carry a gun, wait until you're 21 where you can legally carry something that packs a punch. Having a pea-shooter just sounds like the worst of both worlds. (poor if any stopping power and all the liabilities of carrying any type of firearm, even if legally).

I have gone with a fire golem for the past couple of years and I really feel like it has been effective. He is very reasonably mannered and is a great wingman. And when [censored] hits the fan he is always willing to throw down if need be.

I worry about people shooting through him though to get to me. Although I have not run into that problem in recent history so I am not worried.
