I didn't play for a few days after the update, and now that I've played the last two days It's been terrible. FT just up and has an error and then closes once every 300 or so hands. I used to get the yellow screen and sorta have the same thing happen maybe once a week, but this is out of control. I don't understand why it just closes out of nowhere. Luckily I've been able to open it back up quickly enough that I haven't timed out on any big hands, but it's a huge pain in the ass.

Bet pot has been acting up too, even after downloading the newest version.

Me too, i'm using XP pro. Bet pot sometimes does some weird stuff also for me -- like when i want to bet pot on the flop it puts in 0 instead of pot.

Another thing to reduce lag is make sure FT is running on only one processor on dual+ processor machines (by changing affinity). Poker clients are notorius for bringing multiple processor machines to a screaching halt.

How do you do this?

on vista you right click on fulltiltpoker.exe in the task manager, select "affinity" in the context menu, and then uncheck one of the processors/cores. i'm sure it's something similar in task manager in xp.

I had the worst LAG for the longest time, bought a new setup that is super fast and hasnt had problems since, seems like its a resources problem mostly (can 10 table now no problems). I still get focus stealing but Im not sure if that is standard now or not.

My dual core vista machine always locks when I 12 table SnGs with PAHUD on FTP. Will give this and "Flicker Free" a try and see how that works.

Edit - didn't work. This time it locked up when the first table loaded it's stats - usually I can play for a while with stats on all tables before it locks up.

Man I have it now really bad. Its never been a problem, but now has popped up last few days as a result of the most recent update I guess. Anyone have ideas?

My comp is a cpl years old but I take good care of it, dont run pokerace, dont run pokertracker while I'm playing, etc. Connection has always been very fast. The lag is driving me nuts.

Today's lag has been pretty bad.. I downloaded a new version of PAHud and I think that might be it. I'll try that affinity thing now.

Try the FTP HUD in the software forum, by MikeChops. It isnt as customizeable as PAHUD (I never used PA), but many posters in the FTP HUD thread said that cures their HUD lag problem.
