Oh, also at the BB in Jax there was NO chopping allowed and they take $2 MINIMUM for the rake even if its blind vs blind checked to the river.

Boy, it will be rather depressing if my FLORIDA CARDROOM adventures start with a 1,000+ downslide.

Not only depressing, but hard to imagine.

Played 1-2 NL at the Tampa Hard Rock today.

There were also bigger NL games like 2-5 NL and 10-25 NL

The 1-2 was a good game with typically bad NL players there.

The Tampa Hard Rock will be a good place for NL.

I am loving this thread and loving NL in Fla.

Attn MODS: Is there any way we could get a Florida B&M permathread on 2p2? If not, can you recommend a place where us FL 2p2ers can keep in touch? K thx bye.

no, its not needed. We don't do permathreads for CA, Vegas or Tunica - why would we do this for Florida?

Email? At the poker room? MySpace? I can probably think of 10 ways for you to stay in touch. If you start a thread here it would work as well, but its probably the least efficient of the options available to you.

What games are on the rail now @ Tampa Hard Rock? Usually it's the SNG donkaments, but putting the big games there would rock.

For the uninitiated, the rail there shows off 3 tables and two computer terminals.

[/ QUOTE ]

Still SNGs on the rail. The 10/25 NL tables were all the way in the back.

About an hour after I sat at my 4/8 game total chaos broke out at one of the 10/25 tables. Apparently there was a pot where two players got all in for over 11k. About 30 people from other tables ran to the 10/25 table and crowded around to watch the hand. Management didn't do anything to take care of the situation until after the hand was over. IMO they need to put these games on the rail and rope them off from the rest of the room.

Went to Best Bet in Jacksonville after surfing for a bit today.

Standard raise at my table was $20-$30 preflop at the $2/2NL :0. Big black guy loses about 600 in an hour....ends up cashing out about $1300 due to many two outers.

Even though I don't play poker anymore, the good players who are looking to make some extra cash will have ABSOLUTELY no problem making money at this place.

People tipping up to $30+ on bigger pots....remind you this was $100 max buy-in, lol. All in all something to do just to make fun of all the weird people that place attracts.

I pretty much ran "boring," losing with AK on K42 flop to 44. Then I later won two gargantuan pots in a row with KJs both times.

The people at my table played pretty bad, but not amazingly bad unfortunately. Still, if the people at 5/10 played like the people I played today, I have a new mofuggin job in case online poker gets fubared.

Day 1: +$420 at 1/2 NL, 200max (Hollywood Hard Rock)
