i pictured this as needing to go perfect the last 3 weeks, then resorting to the old tie-breaker rules for the ultimate winner. i.e. no more weekly contest.

what am i missing?

We need some sort of point system to add to the current standings for the season prize.

So the way I understood it is you pick the order of elim now, which will be your final picks for the season. Then if you get all correct you pick up 8 points (2 for each elim plus 2 for having the winner. If you get the first two correct only then you get 4 points added to your season score. Is that good?

I don't see any need to go perfect unless there is a 'weekly' prize (for getting the order correct).

The season winner is based on the average points per week right(6 week minimum)? The reason I ask is because when I see the season results posted it shows the weekly point results for each player plus their total points for the season. The relevant number though is to take the season point total and divide it by the number of weeks each individual has participated. That is what will show who is actually winning. So someone with less points can be beat someone with more points. Of course each individual can do their own division. Soflat does a great job of posting all the totals already but I just wanted to verify that the average determines the season winner.

I don't understand the scoring, but I trust you guys that it's fair. Plus I have no chance anyway because I'm already behind.

4th: Lakisha
3rd: Melinda
2nd: Blake
1st: Jordin

Best value at WSEX atm. I grabbed some of this myself. I would be stunned to see B get booted next week for a f-f-f top 3, which means at worst you should be able to buy the other side at even money in a week or two and freeroll at 2.2-1. BOL!

I think there should be a split prize for the overall winner as well as the percentage winner. I've been on top of the point standings pretty much since the top 12 started and I would feel a little cheated if I ended up with the highest point total and got nothing out of it. Not saying it is going to happen (me winning) but that's how I feel, not to mention that those are the rules we started out with. At the same time, Grannie's idea was a good way to get other participants involved in the game, so they should get something as well.

To be fair about it, I will post my picks now, allowing people behind me to choose differently.

4th Lakisha
3rd Jordin
2nd Blake
1st Melinda

I so badly want to put Blake as the winner because I think he NEEDS the win more than Melinda, who will have a career no matter when she goes out. However, I feel like more people love Melinda and once Jordin goes all her votes will go to Melinda so I am going with the conservative route.

I think yesterday or the day before it was +330 which is an incredible bet. I am loaded up on Jordin versus Blake. I did it back when it was even money. I also did it at -120 and -130. I meant to do some take back on Blake at 330 and I completely forgot about it. Thanks for pointing out the line. I just hit it a few times on Blake. Now I am locked in to win whoever wins. I didn't make todays bets on Blake as a hedge or to lock in a profit. I did it because +290 on Blake vs Jordin is a great bet. I started out taking 310, then 300, and then 290. It's 270 now. Anyway thanks Suzy for reminding me. [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
