Non-Nit Chat?

Yeesh, I leave for a couple days and you guys turn into animals, ANIMALS!

I'm standing at a PC in the Las Vegas Convention center. They have a free "Internet Cafe" setup. Very nice.

We got in last evening around dinner (Vegas-time) after spending the day in airports and airplanes (early morning departure from Ottawa). We connected through Wash DC. Which makes no sense, usually going to Western USA it's through Chicago and that's how our return trip is routed. But this was the one with the least bad layover. Still, we were stuck in that airport for 3 hours.

My wife was expecting a package to be waiting for us at the hotel. She'd shipped all her samples for the show on Friday, overnight. Nothing. Ever better the 800 numbers for tracking the package DON'T WORK IN THE USA!! And the website tracking is [censored] useless. That'll teach us for using Purolator (Canada Post's courier) instead of a real one like FedEx or UPS.

It did show up this morning, so all is well. Very, very stressfull time I'll tell you what!!!

We wound up just lounging around the hotel room for a couple hours last night. We were both too tired to go anywhere so we just went to the Sahara's Buffet for dinner. Pretty crappy and because we'd waited and missed the special it was expensive too.

Tonight's dinner was much better. We went to an In and Out. Most excellent. Breakfast reminded me why I don't go to McDonalds in the US for Breakfast - English Muffin&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;Biscuit!!!! And no cheese on the Sausage Biscuits. WTF?!?! Barbarians!!

Only popped into the McDeath's because we were running errands in the morning and it was in the Wal-Mart. Picking up sample size toiletries because we didn't want to deal with bringing crap through security on the planes.


There are slot machines here everywhere. There were machines in the airport.

Up our way there was controversy a few years ago when the government banned the sale of all tobacco products in pharmacies. We were in a pharmacy and not only did they have cigs, they had booze and slot machines too!

Whole other world!

Spent most of the day getting setup for the show. Haven't played any poker yet. Or anyhing at all. The Sahara's poker room is small and kinda sad looking. I dunno if I'll get out anywhere tonight, I'm pretty beat. It's been a long day and no air condition in the hall during setup so it's been a cooker.

The wife's decided she wants some paitings for the show (she didn't ship any down). So she's gonna paint tonight (!) The night before the show opens. So I might just sneak away for a few hours.

Or I might just pass out at the hotel.

This hand was played with a mega tight player. 11/2/1 over 450 hands. I was sure when he raised that he had a higher PP than my hand however if I hit my set he would pay me off. So I hit my set and prolly should have folded on the River I just had to see since i really didnt put him on QQ.
