WR Randy Moss - traded in exchange for the 110th pick
WR Johnnie Lee Higgins - taken 11 spots before Moss' apparent value

YOU TRADED MOSS FOR LESS VALUE THAN A GUY NAMED JOHNNIE LEEEEEE

[/ QUOTE ]

The Raiders needed to dump Moss for cap reasons. They didnt just let him go for a 4th round pick cause he sucks.

am i a smart football fan?

god this is so [censored] sick. for those talking about moss' "negative attitude" and things along those lines, this is Bill [censored] Belichik we're talking about. He's either going to be a complete team player, positive attitude, and not to mention ripping it the f up on the field, or he simply will be gone. I think Moss is too tired of losing to not shape up completely for the pats.

Straight cash homey

Reporter: "Write the check yet, Randy?"

Moss: "When you're rich you don't write checks."

Reporter: "If you don't write checks, how do you pay these guys?"

Moss: "Straight cash, homey."

Reporter: "Randy, are you upset about the fine?"

Moss: "No, cause it ain't [expletive]. Ain't nothing but 10 grand. What's 10 grand to me? Ain't [expletive] … Next time I might shake my [expletive]."

How do the Patriots land a 1st round draft pick for Deion 'I never had a 1,000 yard season' Branch and then turn around and only pay a 4th rounder for Randy Moss????? WTF?? I swear, sometimes it seems like the NFL in general just bends over backwards to help the Patriots.

But it is going to be interesting to see how/if this chemistry develops now that they brought in 4 new WR's, two of which(Moss/Stallworth) are complete head cases. Tom Brady's deep ball accuracy has probably been his biggest weakness over the years. I wouldn't give them the title just yet but

well would you rather have a guy on your team that has skill, but dosen't use it to his ability, and brings others around him down with his negative attitude about not wanting to be there?

or a kid that has potential, and will be positive and try his hardest?

[/ QUOTE ]

The first one and it isn't close. However, when you ascend to GM of any of the NFL teams, bear in mind that I have a lot of heart and would give 110% for your team, in spite of my being 5'9" and white and having no speed or size or hands.

Yes, he was picked in the 2nd round originally and has never had 1,000 yards receiving yet he got a 1st rounder. It's impossible for him to be "underrated" when he gets a 1st round draft pick (which teams hardly ever part with unless they get future picks).

Moss is commonly referred to as a top 5 WR in the NFL and he got a 4th rounder. How underrated can Branch possibly be if there's a 4th round-1st round difference. Best WR in the NFL?

Consider how important Branch was to the Patriots.

Now consider how much the Patriots paid him.

Now tell me hes not underrated.

Also, consider the importance of individual statistics for players who play on the Patriots. Stats-wise, Tom Brady is a mediocre QB. Is Tom Brady a mediocre QB?
