[ QUOTE ]
However, for sake of argument, what would you do if the player, presumably drunk or inexperienced, asked the dealer if an overpair would beat TJ and the dealer then answered? [/ QUOTE ] It is possible that this is what happened. Guy. |

[ QUOTE ]
OP, So what was the floor's ruling/reaction. [/ QUOTE ] I am ashamed to say that I didn't complain. Too English for my own good I suppose. By the time I'd finished stacking the chips from that pot two more dealers had come and gone anyway To add to my confusion, the players to my left and right, who were not in the pot, had stood up behind me and were audibly discussing what they put me and the other players on. I heard one say that he thought I had to have a house; the other said overpair; and one said that he thought the opponent in question "has JT and thinks it's good." I don't know how many people heard that or whether it was before or after the discussion between that player and the dealer. Are players allowed to do that kind of thing? Guy. |

do nothing.
wait a couple hands, the say the following (loudly enough for the whole table to hear): "holy [censored] (dealer's name) is that you? I didn't recognize you because the last time I saw you we were both so coked out of our minds. remember the hooker that wouldn't bring her price down for you? man I can't believe you were still trying to bang her after we found out she was only 15! well, here's a little something to get you started." then give him a dollar. few tips should follow. |

I'm all for a scene. Leap over the table and choke the life out of that SOB. Then advise your opponent that JT is indeed good.

tell the guy 2 pair JAcks and Tens does beat overpair and 55 since the 10J add up to 20, and your QQ+ and 55 can max add up to 16.
