I have no problem with Mr. Mamuth whom I admire greatly. When I googled my name and poker, I found I was being attacked on web sites that I do not post on and cannot defend myself on...not that I should. It is really not important. Bluff Magazine has their own forum, yet they name this, TwoPlusTwo, as the top forum on the Internet. I agree with them.

Back to the original deal about legal Texas Hold 'em in Texas. I am now relatively certain that some bill legalizing poker will pass. However, I am afraid that it will be in bars and the rake will be so high that everyone has the worst of it. There is a hearing again next week.
The Professional Poker Player's Association comes off looking great in this lobbying effort. Poker really defended itself. My tired old eyes couldn't believe the really positive things about poker in the stories in all the Texas newspapers. The online ban is a bump in the blacktop, but the poker boom is alive and well and coming to a town near you! |

The NFL backed lobbyist, I cant recall his name, but anyway he was the one who got the UIGEA tacked onto the back of another bill that passed last year. The organized leagues, especially NFL hate any internet gambling that does not give them revenues so are very anti online poker etc
