[ QUOTE ]
Myself I have never gotten to 12+ tables, but I maitained 6 for a long time just because I felt that was the max I could pay attention to without missing to many bets. Yes the game has changed IMO. So I have dropped to 4 tables and have made more money then when I was playing 6 tables. I am not missing as many steal opportunties and 3bets I used too.
Of course back when the fish pop was higher, it was no biggie, but the are less mistakes made by others now so I have to change my style.

I think adapation needs to be done and I have. The winners will always adapt.

[/ QUOTE ]

You are absolutely correct and elegant in your statement. Well done!

cheers

If HUD bots become the 2007 fish at medium/small stakes, I will consider poker officially dead.

QFT again
and to add:

When every 6max game has 4-5 regulars and 1 shortstack (see FTP 200nl+) poker is dead.

One note on OP, he is either a troll, or just a big idiot. As of now, I can't really tell.

OP- While I vaguely agree with your point (adjusting is important in poker), I believe you have a twisted notion of poker that it is ALL about adjusting. Like Aba said, 90% of poker is just sound mechanical poker, and the rest is making irratic plays at specific opponents. The HUDBOTs, having seen more hands, probably have better fundamental skills than you do, and to win at poker, that's all you need, especially at middle stakes (granted, at higher stakes, winning depends more on thinking on high levels). Now, the statement that games have become tougher is true because no matter how much you "adjust", you can't bend these fundamental laws of poker or you become a losing player. They must remain intact, and even as one follows the fundamentals strictly, presently he simply cannot win as much as before because the average poker player have become better. It has become harder to stack players with sets and overpair because, when before, fish would felt it with any pair, now they need top pair and good kicker before they felt it. This alone, has decreased not just the HUDBOT's winrates, but everyone's. It affects all players, and not just the "mechanical ones." You can only adjust and bend the rules so much before you cross the line and start making -ev plays (fancy play syndrome).

Also, please refrain from claiming only people who agree with you as absolutely correct. It makes you look asinine and a complete tool.

Did you just take Writing 100A in your public university? I'm kinda flattered you just did a full rhetorical analysis of my post.

Nevertheless, I'm amused and will bite.

Useless, none the less fun to use.

Not useless. Someone with more experience in poker is bound to know something you don't know. I'm sure David Cross knows hellavu more about comedy than I do and has some truth to what he says.

Is this even a counter-argument? Nice use of lol, however, it really adds to your point.

Besides finding an easy way out and adding nothing to your argument, you've oblivious to the fact that Gus does play good sound poker most of the time. You are simply clouded by the masterfully editing done by the Travel Channel's editing team. Even he admits that he's not as buck wild as T.V makes him seem.

Overall, your counter-argument is full of red herring--useless fallacy.

Why has this thread not been locked yet? OP give basically no evidence for his claim and all the replies are just one sarcastic comment after another. Overall a terrible, terrible thread.
