[ QUOTE ]
Veganmav, 1: Curious about the No GF thing 2: How do you feel about the science suggesting that a higher protein diet involving meat was linked to brain development in our ancestors? 3: If you had the resources you now lack (Im assuming time and land) would you try to raise your own sources of protein in a humane fashion? 4: Your stance as a vegan is based on both inefficiency and humane treatment. What is your thought on aquaculture on general? farm raised fishing and the fishing industry? As well as.... hunting? Doesnt a man shooting/catching and then eating a deer/fish represent part of the natural cycle? Or are you against predation in general?... If so you have a far bigger case to take up with Bears (natures ruthless killing machines) [/ QUOTE ] No GF thing deserves its own thread. 2. It's very possible/likely meat helped brain devleopment. But I'm sure we are not lacking the same stuff we were lacking back then when these breakthroughs in brain development happened 3. if i had time and land and stuff i would have a small organic farm. The Idea that getting enough protein is difficult for vegans is a myth. large farms of any sort suck. a dude shooting a deer and eating it is fine. no prob here. |

I'm not an expert(But I know enough to not act like I know more than enough)
But from what I understand: -Americans get WAY more protein than they need - Tofu and all that soy crap has a ton of protein in it anyways. I hate my posts in this thread because it makes me seem like I'm on 'their' side and some meat-hating animal-loving fairy. Meat is delicious and I don't think I'll ever stop eating it. That said I don't need it all the time, and I tried vegan general Tso Chicken at some crazy half-vegan chinese restaurant and let me tell you, you'd never know the difference unless you were told. |
