Who has the best strategy/information during the season (ie. "Football Guys" for baseball)? Can be paid or free. [/ QUOTE ] fantasybaseballcafe.com is probably tops for personalized response and news, rototimes and rotoworld are the best news sites. |

[ QUOTE ]
OK, here's a complicated one. Keeper league, 10 teams. Each club has a minor league team so we have over 50 players owned during the season. Keep 20 players from last year. Stats: R H HR RBI SB BB K TB AVG OBP SLG OPS W SV HR BB K GIDP TB ERA WHIP K/BB K/9 Positions are something like: C, 1b, 2b, 3b, ss, MI, LF, CF, RF, OF, Util. might be forgetting one. yeah it's overkill, but it's a very active league and I like the people involved. I also like that it gives a reason to know about basically every player in MLB and any notable minor leaguer. What's the best strategy for a league like this? Here's who I've kept for next year, how's it look: J. Mauer J. Giambi Mi. Cabrera M. Tejada H. Kendrick B. Bonds I. Suzuki B. Hawpe N. Johnson R. Zimmerman M. Teahen D. Pedroia C. Carpenter R. Clemens Jer. Weaver A. Wainwright J. Broxton B. Sheets R. Hill M. Pelfrey and FWIW I dropped these guys: B. Penny Ra. Johnson B. McCarthy D. Reyes Y. Bazardo C. Hansen J. Vargas R. Pinto Y. Petit P. Maholm C. James E. González Z. Duke J. Shields B. Bannister O. Hernández D. Bush S. Marshall M. DeRosa L. Scott M. Alou C. Patterson W. Betemit R. Langerhans C. Snelling J. Hardy B. Mueller K. Johnson Ju. Huber J. Loney R. Martin J. Botts M. Bourn J. Baker M. Montero edit: this was done right after the season ended or i would've kept RJ [/ QUOTE ] A couple big mistakes. Dropping bush penny and patterson while keeping clemens, pedroia and bonds were your worst decisions. But for a big list of keepers, you should be very solid for next year. Playoffs + more depending on your inseason pickups. |

fantasybaseballcafe.com [/ QUOTE ] it's okay, but you have to know who you can trust to give you the correct answers. like mason malmuth says with poker books, a little misinformation can be dangerous. |

I'd trust the cafe before Funston or other "Experts" [/ QUOTE ] this is an important point. if you want to be any better than the average guy in your public league, do not read karabell, funston, or cockcroft. they are to fantasy what john kruk is to baseball tonight. |

Also keep in mind, the vast majority of the expert advice is for 5x5 roto.
Has anyone ever gotten Shandlers books? Are they worth getting or should i just wait for BP? |

[/ QUOTE ] he looks at different things than BP does. if you're a casual player who only needs one set of projections, pecota is better, but information is power and the forecaster is also quite good. |

7x5 keeperleague with normal 5x5 but with k and bb added for hitters. 10 teams and everyone gets one keeper, for one year, and you lose the draft pick from the round you drafted your keeper in the previous season.
rosters are 22 players deep start typical 9 hitters, 2 sp, 2 rp, 3 p. here are my choices for my one keeper. what do you think? mauer 8th rd webb 10th rd atkins 16th rd |
