At the end Mike has 10K and owes 15K to KGB, thus he plays him to win what he needs.

Why did KGB even agree to this match?

If he says no then in a few hours he's gonna have Mike's 10K anyway when he and Grammar take it from him to collect on the debt, then probably kill him.

Thus if he doesn't play Mike he gets the 10g no matter what. So "winning" the money from him is pointless.

Mike was freerolling.
