Uhm, I'm not so sure you get it yet. It was either one of 2 things. It was either:
1- you supposed "friend" that committed the caper. -or-
2- You weren't actually IMing your friend, but actually some villain that made his ID look very similar to his ie instead of bigegypt you were talking to bigeygpt.

Whatever the case, you were conversing with the con, and opened the door to let him in.

I think the +12k was because this scammer uses famous people's accounts in order to "trade" and therefore recieve even more money. Since there was +12k on this account, combined with some MSN stories I have heard, suggests to me that "she" has 12k sent to her account in exchange for money elsewhere (that was probably never honored.) Thus, that 12k is probably not poker winnings, but rather plainly other people's money.
